In New York City, the Times Square ball will drop when the clock strikes midnight Friday into Saturday, kicking off the Big Apple’s patriotic festivities.
Plus, a once-in-a-lifetime Sail4th 250 Parade of Tall Ships will begin its voyage in New York Harbor on July 4, featuring 80 ships and 150 aircraft from international militaries in a blockbuster celebration that will last six days.
And Macy’s July 4th fireworks show will celebrate its own 50th anniversary with a “kaleidoscope of color” illuminating NYC’s iconic skyline.
Down in the nation’s capital, President Trump has an epic “Salute to America” bash planned for Saturday afternoon and night on the National Mall. A world record-setting 851,000 fireworks, more than two dozen military flyovers and a reflective speech by the leader of the free world are on the agenda for the Washington, DC event.
