Young man and woman caught on video sitting on NYC subway tracks before being fatally struck
A young man and woman were caught on chilling video calmly sitting on subway tracks in Downtown Manhattan early Sunday before being fatally struck, law-enforcement sources said.
The unidentified pair, both 24, were on the rails near the Spring Street station shortly before 3:15 a.m. when a southbound No. 4 train slammed into them, killing both, according to sources and footage posted by The Daily Source.
There is no indication that man and woman had been pushed or fell onto the tracks, leading some investigators to speculate that the two may have been intoxicated, although there is no evidence of that at least yet, sources said.

NYPD cops are later seen at the scene, with one of the bodies covered on the platform at the station, which appears to have been shut down after the incident.
