Screaming and ‘abusive’ Selma Blair left flight attendants with bloody nose, bite marks: 911 audio
Selma Blair allegedly left Delta Air Lines flight attendants with a bloody nose and bite marks before she was arrested for attempting to open the plane’s door in the middle of a flight.
Per 911 audio, a pilot called for medical assistance and law enforcement to be on hand when the plane landed to help with an “abusive” passenger on their flight from LAX in Los Angeles to the JFK airport in New York City Sunday.
“A bloody nose as well as some bite marks,” he said in audio obtained by TMZ.
“Could you pass on to the folks at JFK, we’d like to have some medical personnel at the gates for a couple of [flight attendants] involved in the passenger incident,” the pilot said.
“They just need to get a couple of things looked at,” he added.
When asked for an “estimated station count” for how many ambulances they would need, the pilot responded, “No ambulances. Just some medical personnel available for two flight attendants at the gate should be fine for that.”
The pilot claimed the “disruptive passenger” also “bashed her head on the bulkhead” and would need to get “potentially checked out as well as involved with law enforcement.”
TMZ also obtained audio of Blair screaming after she was removed from the plane and restrained.
Blair, 54, allegedly got into a physical altercation with the Delta flight attendants when she tried to open the airplane door midflight.
“On Sunday, October 11, at approximately 11 p.m. at JFK Airport, PAPD responded to a call about a physically abusive passenger aboard Delta Airlines flight 938, which was parked at the gate after arrival from LAX,” Port Authority Police told us in a statement Monday.
“Suspect was identified as Selma Blair … She was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for evaluation,” they added.
“Two flight attendants also reported injuries, and one was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The FBI is investigating this incident. For further information, please reach out to the airline and the FBI.”
Blair’s rep told Page Six she “experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct” and is currently in “stable condition.”
She reportedly kicked a police officer on the way to the hospital and allegedly assaulted a nurse at the medical facility.
The “Legally Blonde” star was hit with multiple charges stemming from the incident, including two counts of assault for kicking the cop and attacking the nurse, as well as a separate charge for the plane incident, sources told Page Six.
In an exclusive statement to Page Six, Delta Air Lines blasted Blair for her “unruly” behavior during the flight.
“Delta has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first,” a spokesperson for the airline told us Monday.
“No operational impact to the flight, as the flight landed ahead of schedule at JFK,” the Delta rep added. “Law enforcement responded upon the flight’s arrival at JFK.”
In 2016, Blair was involved in another incident while flying. The “Hellboy” actress was removed by stretcher after an outburst on a flight.
Blair was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in August 2018.
She revealed last year she was “truly in remission” from the chronic autoimmune and inflammatory disorder.
