Jaxson Dart could need season-ending surgery in disastrous Giants update
The initial positivity over Jaxson Dart’s injury turned negative after further testing.
According to ESPN, the Giants’ starting quarterback is looking at potentially season-ending surgery. The belief Monday night was that it was a sprained MCL, but it appears to be much more serious than that.
Coach John Harbaugh is scheduled to address the media Tuesday afternoon.
Dart limped off the field in the first quarter following a hit from both ends by Rams defenders Byron Young and Josiah Stewart in the Giants’ ugly 28-6 loss. Following the hit, he immediately clutched his knee and was in obvious pain.

After undergoing tests, Dart emerged on the sideline in team-issued warmups. He didn’t talk to reporters after the loss.
Jameis Winston struggled mightily in his place, completing only 11-of-27 passes for 111 yards with an interception. The Giants will need him to play much better in Dart’s absence.

They could also look at add a quarterback via trade.
