Con Ed worker fatally shot in GWB road rage incident remembered as hard working Jets fan: ‘Lived for his family 100%’

The Con Edison worker killed in a road rage-fueled shooting on the George Washington Bridge late Tuesday was a hardworking “family man” who “had so much life,” kin said Wednesday.

Dad of two Koran Irvine, 46, was on his way home from an overtime shift with the energy company when he took a bullet to the right shoulder around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday on the New Jersey-bound upper level of the crossing, according to cops and his family.

“He’s a family man. Has always been a family man, and he lived his life 100% for his family, stayed out of trouble. And I am in disbelief at this point in time,” a cousin told The Post.

“He was a man that lived for his family 100%, the only thing that he loved near and dear to his heart as much as his family was the Jets.”

Irvine, of Valley Cottage, Rockland County, had a son and a daughter – and loved ones admired his relationship with his wife.

“From just their dynamic and how you would experience it in person, you just felt that love in the air,” one relative said. “They really loved each other. They were a special couple.”

“The kids too, they loved their dad and it’s not too long ago they celebrated his birthday.”

Irvine was also a “jokester” who “just always wanted to make people laugh and feel good,” kin said.

“He is always the light of the party,” the relative added. “He had so much life, was very attentive to everyone, always wanted to know people’s needs. He was so inviting.”

He recently lost his mother, but carried the grief with grace, according to the family member.

“Even when his mom passed away a few years ago, he was obviously going through a difficult time, but never made it about himself,” the relative said.

A person of interest surrendered to cops less than 24 hours after the deadly violence and was being questioned Wednesday afternoon, the sources said.
