Rams star speaks out after injuring Jaxson Dart with strong message
Los Angeles Rams star linebacker Byron Young was a central part of a play that injured New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart during Monday night’s game.

Young was blitzing and went to tackle Dart while he threw the ball. The impact caused Dart to collide with Rams linebacker Josiah Stewart, who was on the other side of Young. Dart’s knee twisted awkwardly upon the collision, which caused an injury and forced him out of the game.
Byron Young is a class act and one of the most respected players in football. He wasted no time expressing his remorse about the Dart injury on social media after Monday’s game.
Young posted a slow-motion video of the play that caused Dart’s injury and wrote, “Never play to hurt anybody. I pray for a healthy recovery 🙏🏾”.

Thankfully for all involved, Dart appears to have avoided a serious injury. Initial exams indicate that he suffered a MCL sprain, which could cause him to miss several games but likely won’t force him to miss significant time.
Regardless, Young deserves a lot of credit for delivering this heartfelt message, even though nobody assumed he had any malicious intent with the hit on Dart.
