Lindsay Clancy GoFundMe tops $1.1M after mistrial declared — as fundraiser goal goes even higher

Lindsay Clancy supporters are flooding a fundraising page after her high-profile murder trial ended with a hung jury after an intense week of deliberations.

A GoFundMe page set up for Clancy’s parents without their permission has raised over $1.1 million and counting – edging closer to the whopping $3 million target.

In an update on the fundraising page Friday, the same day the mistrial was declared, organizer Brandee Mulligan announced that the financial goal would be raised.

“I’ve decided to raise the goal of this fundraiser since this process has been extended, so is the time Paula and Mike will remain away from their home, continuing to carry the costs that come with being there for their daughter every day,” Mulligan wrote.

“The original purpose of this fundraiser hasn’t changed — it’s simply to take one thing off their plate while they continue to show up for their family. If they have to keep showing up longer, I want to make sure the support does too.”

A GoFundMe spokesperson confirmed that the page is “verified” in a statement to the Daily Mail.

Mulligan, a 42-year-old mother of three, previously told the outlet she didn’t have contact with the Musgroves and “did it without even asking permission.”

“…It was just kind of an, “Oh my God, I hope this works out,” kind of thing’,” she said.

The Post has reached out to GoFundMe, Clancy’s lawyer Kevin Reddington, Brandee Mulligan, and Paula and Mike Musgrove, but did not immediately hear back.

Clancy faced a grueling seven-week trial after she was accused of murdering her three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3 and baby Callan, eight months, by strangling them with exercise bands. 

After the killings, Michael, 70, and Paula, 73, relocated 150 miles from their Wallingford, Connecticut, home to where their daughter lived in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

The 12-person jury, made up of nine women and three men, sent three impasse notes declaring a unanimous verdict could not be reached – ultimately forcing Judge William Sullivan to declare a mistrial on the seventh day of deliberations.
