Lindsay Clancy supporters interrupt DA’s post-trial press conference, chanting he’s ‘corrupt’

Supporters of accused killer mom Lindsay Clancy interrupted the district attorney’s post-trial press conference Friday — slamming the prosecutor as “corrupt” and shouting, “shame!”

Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz was speaking to reporters about “getting justice” for Clancy’s “three little babies” after a mistrial was declared Friday, when a throng of Clancy supporters dressed in pink cut in.

“You only cared when the kids were dead! Why don’t you care about the mother?” one could be heard yelling.

“Insensitive is killing three children. Insensitive is ignoring those facts,” Cruz continued. “We have an obligation to stand up for those people.”

Supporters then chanted, “Shame!” and “Vote him out!”

“DA Cruz is corrupt!” others shouted.

As Cruz discussed the heartbreaking case — in which Clancy claimed to be in the throes of postpartum psychosis when she fatally strangled her three young children — a supporter in a pink top could be seen behind him making a “thumbs down” gesture for cameras.

The so-called “pink lady” supporters have turned up en masse outside the courthouse, some wearing “Peace for Lindsay” and “Justice for Lindsay” shirts and buttons.

They’ve also swarmed Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, calling him a staunch advocate for women’s rights.

The highly charged case, however, has also spurred malicious conspiracy theories online — including that Patrick Clancy carried out the act and framed her for it.

“In the end, I bring it all back to the child victims in this case, Cora, Dawson and Callan. This was, and it has always been, about getting justice for those three little babies. We’re here at this courthouse today because those children are not,” Cruz said during the press conference. 

“Children were murdered and it’s our job to seek justice,” Cruz said. “This case however, was about Lindsay Clancy … and the cruel, calculated killing of three innocents,” Cruz said.

He said no decision has been made yet about a retrial.

“I feel like Lindsay was just failed for a second time. There are rules, and there are laws, and there are systems in place. The mental health care system failed her,” Renee Kimball, 40, an organizer for Clancy supporters told The Post.

“I just feel devastated for her and her family. I just feel sad for them,” she said.

A supporter from Cape Cod, Tracey Wright, said she hopes more evidence emerges that helps Clancy’s case.

“I’m still holding hope that in the mistrial process that more evidence comes to light and is permitted. That’s really how I feel,” said Clancy supporter, said Wright, 54.

“It’s been a long trial. I am sad. I saw juror cry. As soon as they declared the mistrial I saw a juror put her head in her hands and cry. That shows how emotionally taxed the jury was,” she said.

Others said Clancy’s plight deeply resonated with burnt out mothers in need of help.

“I feel angry,” said Helen Li, 46. “I understand how exactly changes happen in women after you have babies. And people don’t care.”

“The fathers of the kids don’t understand it, so a lot of times we feel abandoned, we feel abandoned by our own families,” she said.

“The presence of women here, it’s important, because we are overlooked,” she added.

Earlier this week, a self-described crime junkie Dawn Light, 56, was busted outside the courthouse for allegedly snapping photos of the jurors.
