Lindsay Clancy verdict watch live updates: Killer mom’s lawyer reveals whether he’d stick with her in case of mistrial
PLYMOUTH, Mass. — The jury deciding Lindsay Clancy’s high-stakes murder case has started deliberations for the day.
The 12 jurors – composed of nine women and three men – deliberated for 10 hours Friday before they were dismissed for the weekend. The jury returned on Monday, for more deliberations, but were unable to reach a verdict.
Clancy – a former labor and delivery nurse from Duxbury, Mass. – wants the panelists to find her not guilty by reason of insanity on the grounds she was experiencing severe postpartum psychosis when she strangled her three kids and tried to kill herself, worsened by a slew of powerful psychiatric meds doctors gave her.
But prosecutors have said she carefully planned the slayings

The jury deliberation process has been “tough” on Lindsay Clancy, her lawyer told reporters Tuesday morning.
“It’s tough, it’s tough,” defense attorney Kevin Reddington said on his way into court.

Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer Kevin Reddington said the jurors likely asked the judge to leave yesterday because they were exhausted and “needed a break.”
“They are probably tired,” the defense attorney said. “It’s emotionally draining and very, very taxing and they spent all day, except for a lunch break, so they really needed a break.”

There were droves of reporters lined up outside the courthouse this morning before trial kicked off for the day, along with a handful of pink-clad Lindsay Clancy supporters who also queued up to get inside.
When Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, walked into court today he was swarmed by a media scrum.

Lindsay Clancy was back in court Tuesday as the jurors were sent out to begin their fourth day of deliberations.
She was wearing a green long-sleeve blouse and her long brown hair was flowing down her shoulders.
“Good morning, Your Honor,” Clancy said after Judge William Sullivan greeted her.
Her mother, father and sister were all sitting in the second row of the courtroom gallery.

The jury was just brought into the courtroom before Judge William Sullivan asked the panel if they’d followed his instructions.
The judge asked the panelists if they’d “read, seen or heard” anything about the case and if anything would affect their ability to remain impartial.
“Thank you again for following those instructions,” Sullivan said. “At this time, I will send you back out to resume your deliberations.”
The jurors have been deliberating for just under 17 hours since they started Thursday afternoon.
