Benjamin Netanyahu’s son evacuated from the US over ‘significant’ threat — after Israeli leader warned of Iran plot
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s oldest son was urgently evacuated from the United States due to a threat against him — a week after the Israeli leader accused Iran of trying to assassinate one of his children.
Israel’s Shin Bet security agency confirmed there had been a “significant threat” to Yair Netanyahu, without providing additional details.
It comes after Netanyahu appeared on Israeli TV last Monday, Aug. 24, and claimed Iran “tried to murder one of my sons.” The prime minister did not clarify which of his two sons had been targeted in the alleged plot.

Yair Netanyahu moved to Miami in 2023, where he has remained throughout most of Israel’s conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran.
Shin Bet granted extended protection services to Netanyahu’s wife, Sara, and their sons, Yair and Avner, beginning in July.
