Tim Curry dead at 80 after legendary film career

Legendary actor Tim Curry has died at age 80.

The “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” star passed away late Tuesday night, TMZ reported.

No foul play is suspected in his death, law enforcement sources told the outlet.

The British-born actor and singer had struggled with major health issues for many years after suffering a stroke in 2012.

He started his acting career in London theater, appearing as part of the original West End cast of the musical “Hair” in 1968, where he met Richard O’Brien, who went on to create Curry’s iconic role of Dr Frank-N-Furter in “The Rocky Horror Show” in 1973.

Curry received a Daytime Emmy Award for his performance in 1991’s “Peter Pan and the Pirates,” as well as an Artistic Achievement Award in 2015 from the Actor’s Fund of America.
