Chilling text from Tyler Robinson to trans lover boasts about gun doing ‘just fine’ after he allegedly killed Charlie Kirk

Tyler Robinson boasted in a text message to his trans lover that the gun he used to allegedly kill Charlie Kirk worked “just fine,” according to chilling text messages presented by prosecutors Thursday.

In the exchange, Robinson, 23, first told Lance Twiggs that the rifle belonged to his grandfather and at first said he was worried about whether cops would trace its four-digit serial number back to him, according to a text dated shortly after September 10, 2025 shooting.

He wrote that the gun is old but “judging from today, I’d say grandpas gun does just fine,” according to the text.

As Robinson’s trial unfolded Thursday, prosecutors showed a text exchange between Robinson and Twiggs in which they also allegedly discussed Robinson ditching the gun.
Robinson circled back to the scene and sat in his car for around and hour, waiting for a chance to recover the rifle, the texts state.

“I had to leave it in a bush where I changed outfits. Didn’t have time to bring it,” Robinson allegedly texted Twiggs on Sept. 10

Robinson also asked Twiggs to delete the exchange, and the pair discussed whether the rifle could be traced to Robinson’s family.
