A baby found dead at a Michigan music festival was born alive inside the porta-potty where it was found alongside the placenta and umbilical cord, according to reports.

Fluid found inside the baby’s lungs and stomach showed it was breathing at birth Sunday inside the grim toilet at the Electric Forest four-day festival in Rothbury, sources told WoodTV of post-mortem results.
Michigan State Police confirmed an autopsy has been completed, but said it was “unable to confirm the results because we have not yet received the official autopsy report.”
The baby — a neonate, meaning younger than 28 days — was found by an employee of a restroom vending company carrying out maintenance.
The cause of death hasn’t been released, but Lt. Pat Agema said Tuesday that the death isn’t classified as a homicide.
Cops haven’t identified the baby’s gender or its mom as the probe continues.
Lew Langham, an ex-Michigan State Police detective, told Fox17 that the key will be reviewing videos and photos from the festival to try to find the mom.
“These incidents are few and far between,” he said.
“In this particular case, you’re just looking for someone who can help explain what happened.”
The harrowing discovery was made on the last day of the festival, which attracts around 40,000 people.
