WASHINGTON \u2014\u00a0Former first lady Jill Biden\u2019s\u00a02024 election revision tour kicked into full swing on Sunday when she insisted she fully supported Kamala Harris\u2019 White House run and thought she would win.<\/p>\n

Harris had griped that the Biden White House often hung her out to dry\u00a0when it came to fending off GOP attacks,\u00a0and accused the 46th president of harping on a supposed slight against him to donors just before she took the debate stage against President Trump.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But Jill insisted the Bidens went\u00a0full tilt\u00a0for her.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, all out,\u201d\u00a0Jill\u00a0told interviewer Rita Braver on CBS\u00a0News\u00a0\u201cSunday\u00a0Morning\u201d about her efforts to get Harris elected. \u201cI was out on the trail, I think every single day.\u00a0I\u00a0traveled the entire country.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[On]\u00a0election night,\u00a0I was certain she was going to win,\u201d Jill went on.\u00a0\u201cThe excitement for\u00a0her and the crowds and, I mean, how people rallied around her, and\u00a0I truly felt that she was going to win.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was shocked she didn\u2019t\u00a0win,\u00a0because I think she would be a good president.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former first lady\u00a0added that\u00a0\u201cI went to bed\u201d on Election Night and \u201cI just, I couldn\u2019t believe that she had lost.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Jill didn\u2019t directly address Harris\u2019 public gripes, the former first lady was adamant that she and her husband\u00a0were fully behind\u00a0the then-veep in 2024.<\/p>\n

Harris didn\u2019t feel the same way.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Fox News attacked me on everything from my laugh, to my tone of voice,\u00a0to whom\u00a0I\u2019d dated in my 20s, or claimed I was a \u2018DEI hire,\u2019 the White House rarely pushed back with my actual r\u00e9sum\u00e9: two\u00a0terms\u00a0elected D.A.,\u00a0top cop in the second-largest department of justice in the United States, senator representing one in eight Americans,\u201d Harris lamented in her book, \u201c107 Days.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harris also groused about a pre-debate call she got from Joe, who was trying to ensure she wasn\u2019t badmouthing him to donors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMy head had to be right. I had to be completely in the game,\u201d the former veep wrote in her tome. \u201cI just couldn\u2019t understand why he would call me, right now, and make it all about himself.\u201d<\/p>\n

In her book, she also reflected that the 46th president\u2019s decision to seek another term was\u00a0\u201crecklessness.\u201d After the election, Joe had\u00a0caused a stir on social media for\u00a0being all smiles despite Harris\u2019 defeat.<\/p>\n

Harris, considered a top contender for the 2028 Democratic nomination, became the party\u2019s first nominee in 20 years to lose the popular vote, while Trump received 326 Electoral College votes, the most by any GOP nominee since George H.W. Bush in 1988.<\/p>\n

In the aftermath of the Democrats\u2019 defeat, which came despite Harris raising $1 billion in the six weeks after the 46th president\u00a0ended his bid for a second term on July 21, 2024,\u00a0sources told The Post that \u201cpeople didn\u2019t connect\u201d\u00a0with the former senator and state attorney general of California.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was a s\u2013t candidate and Trump made her look worse than Hillary Clinton,\u201d one source said at the time, adding that Joe Biden \u201cgot pushed out for an empty pantsuit. At least Biden beat Trump and Hillary Clinton had more balls than either of them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harris and Jill Biden have had an up-and-down relationship dating back to the 2020 Democratic primary campaign, during which Harris attacked Joe Biden over his past opposition to school desegregation busing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith what he cares about, what he fights for, what he\u2019s committed to, you get up there and call him a racist without basis?\u201d Jill Biden told supporters on a conference call. \u201cGo f\u2013k yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Joe Biden secured the Democratic nomination, Jill\u00a0reportedly came out strongly against choosing Harris as his running mate, complaining: \u201cThere are millions of people in the United States. Why\u00a0do we have to\u00a0choose the one who attacked Joe?\u201d<\/p>\n
