Can\u2019t be worse. But you\u2019ll find out what the price to pay is. There\u2019ll be a price. It\u2019s going to be [a] mental institution or jail or something,\u201d Trump stated.<\/p>\n<p>Reddington\u2019s stunning request came at the end of the brief sit-down interview in which he called his client \u201ca wonderful, wonderful person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reddington said he wished he had been more \u201ccircumspect\u201d before saying his case \u201ccrushed\u201d District Attorney Tim Cruz,\u00a0but said\u00a0he did not regret his braggadocious word choice.<\/p>\n<p>He also addressed statements he made following the jury\u2019s 11-1 split indicating he was upset at a juror who did not side with the others, resulting in the mistrial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would defend that individual\u2019s right to be a holdout forever, that\u2019s part of our judicial system. I respect that and I would certainly defend his right to do that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=8386\">Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were \u2018surprised\u2019 by King Charles\u2019 letter about their royal status<\/a><\/p>\n<p>His frustration with the lone holdout \u2013 who he said he didn\u2019t think was living out a \u201c12 Angry Men\u201d scenario \u2013 was because of a note from the jury forelady that said he \u201chad doubt but would not apply reasonable doubt\u201d to his vote on the verdict.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat I objected to,\u201d Reddington said.<\/p>\n<p>He rebuffed the \u201coutright falsehoods\u201d that came out during the trial claiming Clancy\u2019s husband, Patrick, was involved in the death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has to stop and there should be consequences,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Reddington also placed blame for the tragic death of the couple\u2019s three children squarely on the system failing Clancy, who he said was suffering from post-partum depression and couldn\u2019t get help.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>He pointed out that meeting her psychiatrist \u2013 who had billed herself as an expert on post-partum depression and had been practicing for only a month \u2013 was \u201cthe worst thing she could have done,\u201d referencing the numerous medications she was prescribed for depression concurrently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe said in letters to family she was suffering, and she was suffering horribly. She called sucide hotlines twice. This girl\u2019s life was ruined.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked whether blaming mental illness\u00a0on\u00a0the killing of the children, which Clancy admitted she had done, was a rationalization, as critics have said, Reddington\u00a0said \u201cthese\u00a0people don\u2019t understand what she went through.
