Karmelo Anthony posed with guns and went on racist, violent rants over text messages before he fatally stabbed Austin Metcalf, according to a trove of new documents.<\/p>\n

The 75-page dossier, obtained by the Daily Mail, offers insight into Anthony\u2019s disturbing past \u2014 and was never revealed to jurors during his murder trial as part of a \u201cgentleman\u2019s agreement\u201d between prosecutors and his defense team.<\/p>\n

Photos show Anthony flashing a handgun in a screenshot of a video he recorded in November 2024, just five months before he killed Metcalf in a tent at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas.<\/p>\n

Another image from May 2024 shows the then-16-year-old Anthony holding an AK-47-style rifle with three other teenagers.<\/p>\n

A third video shows Anthony aiming a gun at a residence and then running away on Jan. 4, 2025, according to the Mail. It\u2019s not clear whose home it was.<\/p>\n

Just one week before the killing, Anthony, who is black, also sent multiple racist texts to his girlfriend, Valeria Perez, in which he espoused hatred for other black people.<\/p>\n

\u201cI f\u2014king despise black bitches,\u201d he said, according to a screenshot of the message exchange.<\/p>\n

\u201cF\u2014king n\u2014ers,\u201d he wrote, according to the docs. \u201cThey need to go die.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a separate homophobic rant about gay people in June 2021, Anthony told a friend that \u201cThese f\u2014king gay people are f\u2014king everything up.\u201d He said he hated then-president Joe Biden because he\u2019s \u201cGay ASB [as balls],\u201d according to the document.<\/p>\n

The text messages also revealed Anthony\u2019s alleged criminal activity and his increasingly violent behavior before the stabbing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In one text from October 2024, he told Perez he \u201cmight gt [go to] jail\u201d after claiming he broke into a neighbor\u2019s home and stole a watch. The next month, he bragged to his girlfriend about bringing a gun and knife to school.<\/p>\n

Anthony was convicted and sentenced 35 years in prison \u2014 but appealed the conviction and asked for a new trial, which a Texas judge denied.<\/p>\n

Collin County Assistant District Attorney Bill Wirskye\u00a0said last month at Anthony\u2019s appeal hearing that Anthony\u2019s girlfriend confided to an assistant principal on the day of the murder, April 2, 2025, that Anthony was stalking her after a breakup, and that he was obsessed with fights, guns, and knives.<\/p>\n

Anthony also sent a picture of the knife and told his ex-girlfriend, \u201cI\u2019m low key on the verge,\u201d Wirskye said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was spiraling,\u201d the prosecutor added.<\/p>\n

A few hours later, Anthony\u00a0stabbed Metcalf to death under a tent\u00a0at a track meet at a high school.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors agreed not to use any of this evidence in court in exchange for defense lawyers agreeing not to bring up victim Austin Metcalf\u2019s juvenile criminal history, which included graffiti of \u201cvile racist stuff,\u201d Wirskye said.<\/p>\n

After Anthony\u2019s appeal was denied, his family is asking supporters to donate some $250,000 to pay for the convicted killer\u2019s appeal after his request for a new trial was shot down last month.<\/p>\n
