                                        {"id":8113,"date":"2026-09-04T23:08:18","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T23:08:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=8113"},"modified":"2026-09-04T23:08:18","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T23:08:18","slug":"inside-lindsay-clancys-life-at-psych-hospital-where-shell-remain-following-mistrial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=8113","title":{"rendered":"Inside Lindsay Clancy&#8217;s life at psych hospital where she&#8217;ll remain following mistrial"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Lindsay Clancy will remain at a Massachusetts psychiatric hospital until further notice as she awaits the fate of her triple-murder case after a stunning mistrial on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=8111\">\u2018Wheel of Fortune\u2019 announcer Jim Thornton fired after in-flight pedophilia chatroom incident<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Clancy, 36, will return to Tewksbury Hospital, the state-run facility where she was previously being held, her defense lawyer Kevin Reddington confirmed on Friday after his\u00a0last-ditch appeal to stave off a mistrial\u00a0was denied by the state\u2019s Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>The jury was unable to reach a unanimous decision \u2014 due to one male holdout juror \u2014 about whether Clancy was criminally responsible for strangling her three kids, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, in the basement of their Duxbury home on Jan. 24, 2023. <\/p>\n<p>Clancy, who claims she was in the throes of postpartum psychosis and overprescribed a cocktail of psychiatric meds, then slit her wrists and throat and threw herself from the second story of the home, leaving her partially paralyzed.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Avram Mack, who formerly worked at Nemours Children\u2019s Health in Delaware, painted a picture of Clancy\u2019s dreary routine at the psychiatric facility in Tewksbury when he took the stand at her trial on Aug. 21. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMostly, she described, she stays in bed or on her own,\u201d Mack told the courtroom, referencing interviews with Clancy at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think she described interacting with patients very much. There were a couple of ways in which she did interact with staff, at least. There was a therapist that she described working with,\u201d the shrink said. <\/p>\n<p>Clancy, who has to use a wheelchair after her suicide attempt, also worked with a physical therapist at the hospital, but \u201cwasn\u2019t very interested\u201d in the physical therapy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe wasn\u2019t interested in the food there,\u201d Mack continued.<\/p>\n<p>She described having visitors \u201con a not infrequent basis, and that sometimes, she was able to eat food or drinks that were brought in by them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clancy also described\u00a0\u201cthat she wasn\u2019t very interested in her own hygiene or grooming,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShowering is embarrassing.
