Kathy Hochul and Mayor Zohran Mamdani are bent on protecting criminals from ICE, yet federal agents nonetheless collared a stunning 2,200 of them in July alone, and with more of that to come.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=8057\">NYC Council to grill Mamdani admin over use of influencers, encrypted messaging app to peddle positive coverage<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hooray for them \u2014 and New York.<\/p>\n<p>The arrested include full-on murderers, rapists, drug traffickers, gang members, child predators and other monsters nabbed as part of ICE\u2019s \u201cOperation Rotten Apple.\u201d Again: <em>2,200<\/em> in all.<\/p>\n<p>Villains, per the feds, like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bogdan Detrovich Gren, a Ukrainian national here illegally who was convicted of murder, kidnapping, abduction resulting in death and criminal possession of a weapon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Andreas Bernal Chiquito, of Colombia, nabbed for sexual conduct against a child and injuring a child under 17.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Palvinder Singh, from India, convicted of rape in Germany.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Carlos Mendez-Acosta, from Venezuela, also convicted of rape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Can anyone really argue New York isn\u2019t safer without these thugs?<\/p>\n<p>Yet Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin says ICE got absolutely \u201cno help\u201d from either Hochul or Mamdani in rounding them up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOperation Rotten Apple did what sanctuary politicians in New York City and the state of New York refuse to do: made the Empire State safer,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, Hochul has been <em>boastin<\/em>g that a law she backed bans local cops from cooperating with federal agents as they pursue illegal-immigrant criminals. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s insane: She even tried to gaslight New Yorkers, claiming that by shielding criminals, her Local Cops, Local Crimes Act will somehow <em>boost<\/em> public safety.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=8055\">Andrew Tate indicted in Romania for trafficking minors, money laundering<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mamdani, too, has put up roadblocks to keep ICE from removing criminals.<\/p>\n<p>Per Homeland Security, New York\u2019s \u201cradical sanctuary policies\u201d account for the release of <em>more than 13,000 criminals <\/em>back onto the streets.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s supposed to make you feel safer?<\/p>\n<p>The biggest irony: The gov and mayor\u2019s suck-up to pro-criminal lefties produces the exact opposite of what they claim to want \u2014 i.e., keeping ICE agents out of New York.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause [Hochul and Mamdani] refused to work with us,\u201d promised Mullin, \u201cwe will send as many people as we have possible to make sure we are restoring law and order.\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Remember, ICE\u2019s broad, <em>public <\/em>raids are far more likely to spark clashes with lefty protesters, as they did in February in Lower Manhattan in November and in Brooklyn in May.<\/p>\n<p>Make no mistake: Mamdani and Hochul\u2019s sanctuary pandering not only undermines public safety, it risks <em>more<\/em> confrontations with ICE.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=8053\">Alexander Zverev survives another grueling five-set marathon to reach third round of US Open<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kudos to Mullin and ICE and for doing the job New York pols won\u2019t.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gov.
