Saylor Hayes\u2019 now-charged mom was filmed seemingly begging for help finding her five-year-old non-verbal daughter before she was found dead in a South Carolina waterway.<\/p>\n

Geordyn Hayes, 31, was seen in an apparent panic \u201cpraying\u201d her daughter had just fallen asleep somewhere, days before the mom and her 70-year-old husband, John, were charged over Saylor\u2019s disappearance and death.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe would go into somebody\u2019s house,\u201d Hayes told volunteers helping the doomed search Sunday while they were on vacation in Pawleys Island, as seen in video obtained by Gab News<\/p>\n

\u201cShe loves food. She\u2019s always going to the refrigerator. She has a habit of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hayes told the helpers she had checked surveillance video but was unable to track her daughter\u2019s movements.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe looked on the camera. We didn\u2019t see her,\u201d a panicked Hayes said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just praying\u2026 that she\u2019s somewhere and she fell asleep, maybe.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Georgetown County Sheriff\u2019s Office announced Saylor was missing at around 12:31 p.m. Sunday. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear how long into the search the newly revealed footage of the mom was filmed.<\/p>\n

Saylor\u2019s dad, John Hayes, was heard frantically telling dispatchers he needed help as he reported his daughter missing in 911 audio that suggested he was unsure exactly how old she was.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy little, 4-year-old or 5-year-old girl who\u2019s very autistic, just escaped,\u201d he told dispatchers around 11 a.m, according to the transcript of the call seen by WCBD.<\/p>\n

He then revealed \u201cshe took off\u201d in a \u201csplit second.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had her buckled in the car, and I went inside to get her juice and some more stuff and to leave.\u00a0I came back out. She\u2019s gone,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

John Hayes frantically told dispatchers, \u201cI need to go look at the water,\u201d as investigators asked for more details.<\/p>\n

\u201cMa\u2019am, I don\u2019t mean to be disrespectful, but I gotta find her,\u201d he said at one point during the call.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Geordyn Hayes screamed Saylor\u2019s name while the call was being made.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The search involved \u201chundreds of people and multiple agencies,\u201d authorities said, before revealing Saylor was found at around 9:45 a.m. Monday in the water behind the Hayes\u2019 rental home.<\/p>\n

Saylor was supposed to be wearing a Project Lifesaver transmitter because of her tendency to wander off, but she wasn\u2019t wearing the band when her body was found.<\/p>\n

During the search, law enforcement deployed helicopters that would\u2019ve been able to detect the signal from her bracelet.<\/p>\n

But the signal was traced to a vehicle outside the family home in Virginia, more than 300 miles away from where they were vacationing.<\/p>\n

Cops revealed the device had been removed before the family had left the Old Dominion state.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear who removed the device, or when it was removed.<\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n

But it would\u2019ve required some force in order to remove the bracelet, law enforcement said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt cannot simply be unclasped or removed by the client; the band must be physically cut in order to remove the transmitter,\u201d saide Sheriff Blake Andis of Washington County, Virginia.<\/p>\n

John and Geordyn Hayes were arrested in Tennessee and now face charges of unlawfully placing a child at risk\/wilfully abandoning a child.<\/p>\n

They stand accused of putting the girl \u201cat an unreasonable risk of harm affecting her life and safety by failing to provide supervision and safeguards appropriate for a severely nonverbal, autistic, five-year-old child with a known affinity to water and a history of elopement,\u201d according to the arrest affidavit seen by The Post.<\/p>\n

Saylor\u2019s cause of death hasn\u2019t been revealed, with an autopsy scheduled for Sept. 4.<\/p>\n
