The heartbreaking Lindsay Clancy murder trial has attracted all kinds of ghoulish behavior and exposed the inverted morality coursing through our society.<\/p>\n

Still, in a sea of deranged women making Clancy their cause du jour and mobbing her lawyer at the courthouse like he\u2019s Harry Styles, there\u2019s one lady whose shamelessness trumps all.<\/p>\n

Lisa Rinna, formerly of \u201cThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills\u201d and currently starring in TikTok hot takes from the front seat of her car, is singular in her disregard for facts and the humanity of those involved.<\/p>\n

Two weeks ago, Rinna had the gall to move her artificially plumped lips to make this disgusting allegation.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlright, he did it. Patrick did it. Patrick is the one who did it. Not Lindsay,\u201d she said, without adding an \u201callegedly\u201d or any other language to couch her outrageous accusation about Lindsay\u2019s bereaved ex-husband, Patrick Clancy.<\/p>\n

\u201cPatrick did it. Because, you know, I also heard that women typically don\u2019t strangle.\u201d<\/p>\n

When females kill their offspring, she claimed, they usually poison or drown them.<\/p>\n

How does she know this? Her therapist told her.<\/p>\n

\u201c[My therapist] looks at me and she goes, \u2018He did it.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Wow, yeah.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Perhaps she should have read at least one story about this trial before speaking. But who needs facts when you have a close to a million TikTok followers waiting to be fed more slop?<\/p>\n

What a terrible thing to say about a man whose wife murdered their three small children and attempted to off herself by jumping out of a window head first.<\/p>\n

He, along with his children, is a victim.<\/p>\n

After some well-deserved blowback, Rinna returned to her car studio \u2014 not to apologize, but to offer a defiant defense of her \u201cfree speech.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are my opinions, this is my page and that\u2019s that. So If you don\u2019t like it, tough f\u2013cking s\u2013t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stating that Italian food is better than Chinese food is an opinion. What she said was an outright lie and defamatory.<\/p>\n

After living through this unspeakable tragedy and media spectacle, I\u2019m sure Patrick only wants peace, privacy and the ability to move on with his life.<\/p>\n

But I hope he sues the Restylane out of Rinna.<\/p>\n

This case isn\u2019t a whodunit. Lindsay has admitted to the horrific acts. The jury is now tasked with deciding if she is criminally responsible and, if so, it was murder or manslaughter.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t a cold case from 20 years ago. These are real people who have been irrevocably broken as their worst day plays out on a national stage and is picked apart like it\u2019s game film.<\/p>\n

Our obsession with true crime and the proliferation of all mediums to feed this beast has led to a detachment from our humanity.<\/p>\n

Self-styled sleuths like Rinna treat ongoing cases and trials like movies where the people involved are mere characters to root for or against, rather than real humans living through unimaginable tragedy.<\/p>\n

And, thanks to social media platforms, these true-crime obsessives have gone from living in conspiratorial silos to a collective coffee klatch.<\/p>\n

Within that online community of narcissists, the boldest, most outrageous takes are rewarded with eyeballs, attention and money \u2014\u00a0and emboldened to push the envelope and cross every line of decency.<\/p>\n

Such behavior creates a permission structure for people like Rinna to say whatever the hell they want.<\/p>\n

Patrick lost his three precious children and the woman he once loved has disappeared into a lightless husk confined to a wheelchair. By all accounts, he was a devoted husband and father who did everything to help his wife weather the postpartum storm.<\/p>\n

After the killings, Patrick released a statement that read, \u201cMy family was the best thing that ever happened to me. I took so much pride in being Lindsay\u2019s husband and a dad to Cora, Dawson and Callan.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Lindsay? He hoped she\u2019d find \u201cpeace.\u201d<\/p>\n

And for that superhuman strength and grace, he gets a bunch of bored psychos accusing him of all kinds of things, including murdering his own children.<\/p>\n

Rinna should do some self-reflection. Her aforementioned therapy isn\u2019t working, but she should keep at it.<\/p>\n
