\u201cI just have a question to the guys out there. What is the obsession? The dildos are being thrown on the ground,\u201d McCoughtry told TMZ Sports when asked whether the WNBA should ban him league-wide after the Sky banned him from Wintrust Arena.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou guys are coming with the shirts. There\u2019s no transgender in the WNBA. So y\u2019all are going on a frenzy about what? What is the obsession with this? Why can\u2019t we play and have fun?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 There\u2019s a reason Enes is banned from his country, Turkey. Something\u2019s going on with that. But like, leave women alone. Who messes with women? If you mess with women, you\u2019re a weak man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Freedom, who played 11 seasons in the NBA, was ejected by security after a verbal altercation with Sky guard Natasha Cloud during a timeout called in the third quarter.<\/p>\n

He was wearing a black T-shirt that read, \u201cWOMAN noun. adult human female.\u201d<\/p>\n

McCoughtry emphasized that Freedom should be banned from all 15 WNBA arenas.<\/p>\n

\u201cReal NBA players, they don\u2019t have time for that,\u201d McCoughtry said. \u201cThey come and support our game and we figure out ways we can create and grow.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 What, are you about to come to L.A. next and do it or go to New York next and do it? So yeah, you should be banned. And then to prove a point. That we don\u2019t have time for that and we\u2019re not tolerating that kind of behavior. Leave us alone.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 There\u2019s not an active trans player in the WNBA. Why y\u2019all keep coming at us? \u2026 It has nothing to do with us right now. If it happened, then have the conversation. It\u2019s not happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Freedom declared for the 2027 WNBA draft earlier this month amid debates regarding transgender athletes in women\u2019s sports.<\/p>\n

Freedom and former NBA player Royce White, who also declared for the draft, will not be eligible to play in the WNBA after both declared themselves women and eligible for the next draft, though Freedom refuted the reports.<\/p>\n

McCoughtry went on to say that \u201cit\u2019s disrespectful\u201d for people to come to WNBA arenas and throw sex toys after an individual threw a green dildo onto the court\u00a0during the Dream-Sparks game at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles last week. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve never seen a woman go to an NBA game and throw vagina toys or something like that,\u201d she said. \u201cMen have to stop being obsessed with women and wanting to control our success and wanting to be in control all the time. Anything women do, it\u2019s always gotta be a man.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 Men, you gotta respect women \u2026 Give us the respect we be giving y\u2019all, the respect y\u2019all want. I\u2019ve been in the league too many years to be seeing this. Come on now, get it together.\u201d<\/p>\n

The individual who threw the dildo was arrested after being apprehended by arena security.<\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n

The person, who was not named, reportedly received an indefinite ban from all WNBA, NBA and other league-affiliated games and events.<\/p>\n

The WNBA addressed the matter last season after numerous instances of dildos being thrown on the hardwood at games in Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Phoenix and Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
