Garth Brooks\u2019 daughter Allie Colleen is facing backlash over the way she paid tribute to Dolly Parton following the country music legend\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old singer-songwriter took to Instagram Tuesday to mourn Parton while reflecting on her own fear of someday losing her famous dad.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy greatest fear in life is the day my Dad loses his life and I have to see the world mourn a man they never knew the way I knew him,\u201d Colleen began her post.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo the personal family and friends of Mrs. Dolly you have all my love and condolences today and forever going forward,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a huge, beautiful, special life to have loved and to grieve. Thank you for sharing her with us all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colleen went on to call mourning a \u201cbeautiful privilege,\u201d writing that \u201cto grieve is to know you loved deeply and fully.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTo the woman we all love, and all those who grieve for her \u2013 I love you all,\u201d she concluded, asking fans to \u201crespect the family and her personal friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, several social media users took issue with the way Colleen centered the tribute around her own relationship with her 64-year-old father.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the weirdest condolence post I have ever seen. It\u2019s giving how can I make something not about myself, about me. This is nepo baby at its worst,\u201d one critic wrote, while a second added, \u201cAn utterly ridiculous comment to make. This is not about you or your father.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAllie, just a note. Next time, let someone read your work before you publish it. I know what you meant, however now was not the time to say it,\u201d a third chimed in.<\/p>\n

Some even questioned Colleen\u2019s apparent suggestion that fans could not understand the grief experienced by the loved ones of a celebrity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will mourn the loss, never in the way you will. Just know that all of us may have gone through that before and we will understand your pain,\u201d one person commented.<\/p>\n

Colleen, however, clapped back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think you will.. I would never relate to you losing your father \u2013 I don\u2019t know how you would relate to mine. Kind of exactly what I am talking about \ud83d\udc9c,\u201d she replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s kinda insinuating like none of us have loved our dads as much as you love yours? Loss is loss. Everyone who has experienced it can relate,\u201d another follower responded.<\/p>\n

Colleen clarified that she was not attempting to diminish anyone else\u2019s grief, writing, \u201cI would never act like I understand how much you grieve anyone \u2013 that\u2019s all I am saying.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would never act like I understand how you feel the day you lose your person, so I would expect the same respect that you don\u2019t know how I feel the day I lose mine,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
