President Trump urged South Carolina Republicans Friday to \u201cpretend\u201d he\u2019s on the ballot in the state\u2019s high-stakes Senate race, in an effort to harness his support among the MAGA faithful and propel Sen. Darline Graham to victory.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a Myrtle Beach rally for Graham (R-SC), who is competing in next week\u2019s GOP primary runoff election, Trump noted a \u201cproblem\u201d she and other Republicans running in the midterms may face is that he\u2019s not a candidate, which may discourage some his supporters from heading to the polls.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The president\u2019s solution?\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I really want you to do is pretend, please, that I\u2019m on the ballot,\u201d Trump urged voters. \u201cJust come and vote. It\u2019s so important.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSo just say that I\u2019m on the ballot, one more time, you got to say it, and you got to come out and vote.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The president made the case that the South Carolina Senate race is indeed about him and his agenda, warning that South Carolina voters stand to \u201close everything\u201d if Graham isn\u2019t elected to the Senate for a full term.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou got to come out and vote,\u201d Trump said, \u201cbecause if we lose, you\u2019re going to lose your border, you\u2019re going to lose your tax cuts, you\u2019re going to lose everything that we\u2019ve done.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThink about no tax on tips, no tax on social security for our seniors, no tax on overtime \u2013 all of that\u2019s going to be gone,\u201d the president warned.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On top of that, Trump asserted that Democrats will move to impeach him if the party takes control of the House and Senate after the midterm elections.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to be impeached. They\u2019re going to impeach me. They have no idea why,\u201d the president fumed<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re gonna lose all of your tax breaks. You\u2019re gonna lose everything. So you have to get out of vote,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump spoke for more than an hour at the packed\u00a0 Myrtle Beach Convention Center, where video boards alternated between, \u201cSouth Carolina is Trump Country\u201d and \u201cSouth Carolina is Graham Country.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

In keeping with old Trump campaign rally tradition, the president recited \u201cThe Snake,\u201d a poem he uses as a parable to argue against illegal immigration.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump was heckled by at least one protester during the event, prompting the president to pause his speech at one point and quip: \u201cThat\u2019s all right. That person\u2019s going home to mom. Gonna get scolded because mom is voting for us. You know, mom is voting for us.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who is stepping down from her role at the end of the month, Sens. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) and Tim Scott (R-SC), Rep. Russell Fry (R-SC) and Graham were among the special guests the president brought up on stage during his speech.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In her remarks, Graham thanked the president for \u201cthe beautiful eulogy you gave at Lindsey\u2019s service.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThat meant the world to me,\u201d she said. It was beautiful.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou were one of his closest friends. I hope you know that, and you will forever be part of the Graham family,\u201d the senator added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Graham was appointed to her late brother\u2019s Senate seat \u2014 at Trump\u2019s urging \u2014 on July 14 by South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster and is seeking a full six-year term.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She received 32.7% of the vote in the initial primary round of voting on Aug. 11, with Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) taking 24.6% and Fry coming in third with 19.7%.<\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n

Graham will take on Norman in the Palmetto State\u2019s\u00a0 Aug. 25 Senate primary runoff election.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump had one more incentive to get voters out to the polls for the incumbent.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After noting that Myrtle Beach is \u201cthe home of 90 great golf courses,\u201d he pledged to tee off with the top golfer in the city if Darline comes out on top in the election.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll make you a deal that if Darline wins, I\u2019ll come down and play the best golfer in Myrtle Beach in a match. We\u2019ll see who wins,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
