Hizzoner is looking for someone to seize the means of production \u2014 in Gracie Mansion\u2019s kitchen.<\/p>\n

Mayor Zohran Mamdani is seeking to hire a new chef who can whip up South Asian and Middle Eastern meals for him and the first lady \u2014 and the gig comes with a salary of $64,500.<\/p>\n

The \u201cCook\u201d job was listed earlier this month, imploring passionate foodies with an aversion to gossip to apply for the chance to join the kitchen crew at the Upper East Side mayoral residence.<\/p>\n

\u201cReporting to the Senior Executive Chef, the Cook is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals for the Mayor, the Mayor\u2019s family, and their guests for daily service, events, and official functions,\u201d the job posting states.<\/p>\n

\u201cMust maintain strict confidentiality regarding the Mayor, Principals, guests, and household operations,\u201d it adds.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe role requires experience with multiple cuisines with a focus on South Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine.\u201d<\/p>\n

What dishes the newbie will be expected to make for the socialist mayor and his wife, Rama Duwaji, was not specifically listed, but Mamdani named biryani, paan and lamb adana laffa as some of his favorite meals when asked about his \u201cgo-to\u201d Big Apple restaurants last year.<\/p>\n

He also celebrated his win as the city\u2019s first Muslim mayor by sharing an aloo dum lunch with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in November. <\/p>\n

The job is to replace a previous cook who left Gracie Mansion for a restaurant gig. The rest of the five-member kitchen crew all previously served under Mamdani\u2019s predecessor, former Mayor Eric Adams.<\/p>\n

Other than being tight-lipped, the ideal candidate would have three years of culinary experience, \u201cstrong knife skills\u201d and be able to lift up to 50 pounds and \u201cadapt quickly to shifting kitchen demands,\u201d according to the job posting.<\/p>\n

The hours of the full-time job were not included, but the listing warns that the cook should have a \u201cfully flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and short notice shifts.\u201d<\/p>\n

The gig pays well above the city\u2019s average rate for similar roles, according to Salary Expert.<\/p>\n

A senior cook job with the city Department of Correction comes with a salary of up to $52,242, a job posting from last month shows. <\/p>\n

The new Gracie Mansion cook will serve under Chef Feliberto Estevez, who has led the kitchen through ex-Mayor Bill de Blasio and Adams\u2019 tenures.<\/p>\n

Mamdani confirmed he was keeping Estevez back in June \u2014 noting that the biggest changes in the kitchen were a reintroduction of meat, but a ban on pork and on Adams\u2019 notoriously unsavory green smoothies.<\/p>\n

His predecessor posted various videos of himself whipping up the disturbing combination of romaine lettuce, avocado, banana, orange and red apple. <\/p>\n

\u201cI have not asked,\u201d Mamdani told Fox 5 when questioned on whether he requested the staff to replicate the veggie beverage.<\/p>\n
