Prince Harry and Meghan Markle\u2019s impending move back to the UK after six years in Southern California is going to create headaches for Prince William, Page Six hears. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a huge slap in the face for William, and it does also create serious risks for the monarchy,\u201d royal reporter Tom Sykes told Page Six following news that the Harry and Markle will head back across the Atlantic later this month.<\/p>\n

Sykes said that, given the longstanding feud between the brothers, the move will create a \u201chuge succession\u201d of additional \u201cchallenges\u201d for the Prince of Wales.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is gonna happen if Charles invites Harry to join the royal family for Christmas? What is gonna happen if Harry wants to attend the Remembrance Day celebrations?\u201d he asked. <\/p>\n

The reporter added that, in his opinion, there is \u201cno way\u201d King Charles III \u201cdid not know\u201d the move was happening. A source confirmed to Page Six Wednesday that the monarch learned of Harry and Markle\u2019s intentions Sunday.<\/p>\n

The author also explained that he feels it\u2019s \u201ca very very dangerous situation\u201d that Charles \u201callowed himself to be manipulated into welcoming them home,\u201d noting that \u201cthere\u2019s no way that the late Queen Elizabeth II would\u2019ve allowed this to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, Sykes explained, the relocation \u2014 which Page Six confirmed will be for \u201can extended period\u201d \u2014 \u201cis a huge moment for Harry and Megan\u201d and their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, who will be enrolled in school there.<\/p>\n

Sykes explained that while he did suspect \u201csomething was afoot\u201d with the couple, he \u201cnever imagined it would be anything of this magnitude or they\u2019d be happening this quickly.\u201d <\/p>\n

The author called the idea that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be relocating by the end of the month \u201cquite extraordinary.\u201d <\/p>\n

Prince Harry and his wife famously left the UK in 2020 and giving up their roles as working members of the British royal family in a move dubbed \u201cMegxit.\u201d<\/p>\n

They subsequently relocated to an expansive estate in Montecito, California, where they\u2019ve been raising Archie and Lilibet, and we\u2019re told they won\u2019t be selling the $14.5 million estate there.<\/p>\n

Sources told Page Six on Wednesday that Harry and Markle made the decision to be closer to King Charles and to give their children the opportunity to build family relationships.<\/p>\n

Markle found mixed success in Southern California with her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and as the host of her own Netflix series, \u201cWith Love, Meghan,\u201d which ran for two seasons.<\/p>\n

Still, Sykes said he feels it\u2019s \u201cvery clear the things haven\u2019t worked out in America the way they thought they would\u201d and suggested there may be financial motivations for the family moving back to Prince Harry\u2019s homeland.<\/p>\n
