A woman charged with defacing the World War II Memorial in DC with graffiti calls herself a \u201chomeless freedom fighter\u201d in bizarre, paranoid videos before she allegedly spray painted the monument.<\/p>\n

In a series of rambling posts leading up to the devious act she was charged Friday with committing a day earlier, Melissa Farris claimed she is under federal wiretap, and spoke about \u201cgolf carts with people shooting my house from the vacant property next door in Kentucky.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI fled for my life,\u201d she claimed in one Facebook post. \u201cI was shown the federal wiretap. I know that it\u2019s on,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She faces felony charges of depredation against property and destruction of veterans\u2019 memorials and was being held Friday.<\/p>\n

Farris, 41, also accuses the feds of malfeasance of either $2.5 billion or $2.6 billion including \u201cincidentals\u201d \u2013 and says the government should be forced to fund favored programs as punishment.<\/p>\n

These include \u201cnerf guns and scooters\u201d for orphans in Detroit, as well as \u201cdog beds and supplies\u201d in Lucas County, Ohio and a \u201cjet for the Make a Wish Foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI tried to blackball the government,\u201d she says, before referencing treble damages for convicted fraudsters.<\/p>\n

In another video she performs what she described as a \u201cdance party\u201d in front of the White House and says she is \u201cplanning the revolution.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also complains about a $9.6 billion Biden Administration Energy Department grant for building a trio of battery manufacturing plants for Ford electric vehicles. \u201cRevolt. With 30 sec phone calls. Take democracy back,\u201d she posted on Facebook on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Farris also urged people to send her money through Cash App to a friend to buy \u201cpaint\u201d hours before she allegedly trashed the memorial to the 16 million Americans who fought in the war.<\/p>\n

But the friend, Maxwell Cuprys, told The Post he didn\u2019t know about it in advance and hopes a cleanup crew can remove the graffiti. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a very nice monument. Veterans should be be looked after,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He says he last heard from Farris the day she turned herself in. \u201cI\u2019m not part of her choice to do this. I\u2019m a little disappointed. I do think she\u2019s a good person deep down,\u201d Cuprys said.<\/p>\n
