Fauci\u2019s pandemic-era fibs about the efficacy of masks and lockdowns, the National Institutes of Health\u2019s funding of gain-of-function research, his role in shutting down schools and the origins of COVID-19 itself are well-documented.<\/p>\n

But a liberal journalist may have just blown the top off yet another massive scandal.<\/p>\n

Terry Moran is best known for getting canned by left-leaning ABC News over an unprofessional outburst directed at White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s the furthest thing from a right-wing bomb-thrower.<\/p>\n

Yet during a recent appearance on The Fifth Column podcast, Moran revealed that Fauci was responsible for his only experience of \u201cthe heavy hand of censorship\u201d coming down on him at ABC.<\/p>\n

According to Moran, he and his team conducted a thorough investigation into the lab-leak theory in early 2021 before putting together a balanced segment analyzing the arguments for and against it.<\/p>\n

But the final, edited product that came back to him after his version was reviewed by top brass at the network was \u201cincomprehensible,\u201d said Moran.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was told: \u2018Fauci,’\u201d he recalled. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never watched that story [again] and I never want to. Because it wasn\u2019t mine, and most importantly, because it was incomprehensible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moran went on to allege that \u201can organized campaign\u201d to paint the lab-leak theory as racist is what \u201creally silenced\u201d dissenters.<\/p>\n

\u201cABC News\u2019 standards people took that absolutely to heart and it was not going to be discussed.\u201d<\/p>\n

All due to the wishes of one man: \u201cFauci.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speak of the devil, the longtime NIAID director owes former President Joe Biden a very nice dinner \u2014 and maybe even some ice cream afterwards.<\/p>\n

In one of his final acts as commander-in-chief, Biden pardoned Fauci for any federal offenses he may have committed between 2014 and early 2025.<\/p>\n

Otherwise, Moran\u2019s revelation might send the doctor to jail for perjury.<\/p>\n

Fauci appeared before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic in June 2024 and addressed the supposedly \u201cfalse accusation that I tried to cover up the possibility that the virus originated from a lab\u201d in his opening statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn fact, the truth is exactly the opposite,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n

The opposite, huh?<\/p>\n

Then why did Fauci allegedly intervene to force a story merely contemplating <\/em>the possibility that the virus originated in a lab to undergo a makeover so extreme as to render it unrecognizable?<\/p>\n

And why did Fauci play such a key role in the publication of an article dismissing the lab-leak theory beginning in February 2020?<\/p>\n

An article, by the way, that Fauci himself would later cite as an unbiased authority on the topic. <\/p>\n

No wonder the ex-chief medical adviser to Biden spent hours pleading the Fifth Amendment in front of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee late last month.<\/p>\n

After all, he\u2019s not immunized from prosecution for any current <\/em>lies.<\/p>\n

Only the destructive ones he\u2019s already told.<\/p>\n

Legal consequences (or lack thereof) aside, Moran\u2019s anecdote, if true, provides terrifying insight into the toxic relationship between Fauci and the media.<\/p>\n

If Fauci was going to find out about the story pre-publication, the network ought to have asked him for an on-the-record comment so that the public could weigh the strength of his arguments.<\/p>\n

Instead, ABC appears to have granted him veto power, essentially crowning him editor-in-chief for a day without any disclosure of his influence over its reporting.<\/p>\n

What were they thinking?<\/p>\n

The doctor was a high-ranking government official with motive aplenty to mislead at the time of the Moran rewrite.<\/p>\n

Remember, Fauci is a believer in the so-called \u201cnoble lie\u201d who suffered from reality-warping delusions of grandeur.<\/p>\n

There was every reason to interrogate his perspective. <\/p>\n

Instead, the press elevated it above all others \u2014 because he was a liberal cause c\u00e9l\u00e8bre whose views on this particular topic aligned with the media\u2019s own inexplicable concern that investigating the connection between an epoch-changing pandemic and the genocidal Chinese government would fuel anti-Asian bigotry.<\/p>\n

Unlike, say, blaming it on the Chinese people\u2019s purported hankering for bat soup.<\/p>\n

The media\u2019s liberal bias not only yields slanted coverage, it makes it susceptible to manipulation by the powerful and self-serving.<\/p>\n
