Country rapper Colt Ford suffered a broken shoulder when his tour bus crashed in Germany, which forced the musician to be rescued through the vehicle\u2019s busted windshield.<\/p>\n

Ford, 56, shared a photo of the wreck Wednesday, showing the bus in a grassy ditch with its windshield destroyed and damage to the front passenger side.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOne minute you\u2019re headed to Germany for a show and prepping for a single release the next thing you know your bus is in the ditch and you\u2019re getting pulled through a windshield with a broken shoulder by first responders,\u201d Ford wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe crew is a little banged up but we\u2019re all still here.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cause of the crash and its exact location were not immediately known, but the \u201cRide Through the Country\u201d singer was scheduled to perform Saturday at Tailgate X in Ballenstedt, central Germany, about 100 miles west of Berlin.<\/p>\n

Ford\u2019s fellow country artists quickly sent messages of support while referencing the near-fatal heart attack he survived in 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile I am so relieved you\u2019re alive, I am so sorry for all of this brother,\u201d Meghan Patrick wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve had more than your share of hard times and Mitchell [Tenpenny] and I are praying for you. Here to help any way we can, love you buddy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGlad yall are okay dude. You have endured some life. Love ya,\u201d Jake Owen said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDang, brother. Glad y\u2019all are OK, but a broken shoulder, not the break you needed. Prayers for a quick recovery, hang in there, bud,\u201d Tracy Byrd added.<\/p>\n

The crash comes two years after Ford survived a heart attack during a 2024 performance at Dierks Bentley\u2019s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Az.<\/p>\n

Ford went into cardiac arrest twice, underwent 10 hours of surgery and spent eight days in a medically induced coma.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t have been anymore on death\u2019s door. I died twice that day,\u201d Ford told Mayo Clinic in March 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen one of the top heart doctors in the world looks at you and goes, \u2018You\u2019re 1% of 1%,\u2019 it can\u2019t get more dire than that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ford said he had no memory of performing at the Arizona venue before the heart attack, but recalled walking back to his tour bus, where he was later found slumped over in a chair.<\/p>\n

\u201cI woke up eight days later, and I couldn\u2019t pick up a cup with ice in it and feed it to myself,\u201d he told the clinic.<\/p>\n

Following the heart attack, Ford changed his diet and said he lost more than 60 pounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve changed everything. If I go by Whataburger, I\u2019ll eat a grilled chicken sandwich,\u201d he told People in February 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t do all the fries and stuff. McDonald\u2019s used to be my s\u2014 and I loved it but I haven\u2019t even craved it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ford also credited his wife, Megan, with encouraging him to stay active.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look good and I feel good. I\u2019m feeling like it\u2019s my Rocky comeback moment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod has more for me to do. For some reason he saw fit to give me another chance, so I intend to do something positive with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ford is scheduled to return to the US for a concert Aug. 19 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa.<\/p>\n

The Georgian rose to fame as a country-rap pioneer, co-writing Jason Aldean\u2019s hit \u201cDirt Road Anthem\u201d and scoring his own success with songs including \u201cRide Through the Country\u201d and \u201cWorkin\u2019 on.\u201d<\/p>\n
