Hamptons fashion entrepreneur Martha Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra was cold to the touch, turning purple, and with her mouth, chest and back of her head covered in blood when medics found her aboard a boat in Montauk, according to documents The Post obtained on the one-year anniversary of her death.<\/p>\n

The Montauk Fire Department patient care record for the Irish-born 33-year-old founder of East x East also noted purpling on her lips and under her nailbeds as well as blood on the floor near her body.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoat was quite warm but [patient] was cool to the touch with nail beds that were purple with slight purpling around lips,\u201d a note from the EMT report read.<\/p>\n

The body \u201chad dried blood in oral, head and chest area. No active bleeding observed or obvious sources of trauma. First arriving EMT noted blood potentially from the back of head area when EMT positioned head to open airway and begin\u201d resuscitation efforts and administer oxygen, the report said.<\/p>\n

The report notes an \u201cadditional male\u201d was on the scene at the time of the cardiac arrest. <\/p>\n

That person, not identified in the report, told EMTs that he was in bed with Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra and called 911 when he was unable to wake her up, the report stated.<\/p>\n

Boat owner Chris Durnan is the only person to have been previously confirmed as being on the scene and last seeing her alive.<\/p>\n

He was reportedly spotted running for help down the Montauk Yacht Club dock completely nude at roughly midnight on Aug. 5, 2025. <\/p>\n

\u201cDo something!\u201d\u00a0the\u00a0naked man screamed, good Samaritans later told The Post.<\/p>\n

Lawyers for Durnan told New York Magazine that he stripped down naked because he was soaked in Nolan-O\u2019Slattara\u2019s vomit. EMTs did not note any vomit in their report.<\/p>\n

The EMT report noted Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra was unresponsive the entire time they were on the scene.<\/p>\n

An autopsy commissioned by Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra\u2019s family revealed that only trace amounts of cocaine were found in her system, according to the family\u2019s lawyer. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner has not released autopsy results. <\/p>\n

A crime scene expert who reviewed the report found the report\u2019s details concerning.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis thing stinks,\u201d said Patrick Zirpoli, a private investigator and retired Pennsylvania State Police corporal with more than two decades of experience investigating crime scenes and homicides. \u201cJust by virtue of [the report], that\u2019s a problem case.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zirpoli, who is not connected to this case, told The Post the scene could have been staged \u201cto make it seem like something else.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSomething happened to have caused [bleeding from the mouth.] And I think she. . . is deceased well before the first responders first got there,\u201d Zirpoli said.<\/p>\n

Lawyers for Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra\u2019s County Carlow, Ireland, family have also claimed that Durnan staged the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cLaw enforcement informed the family they believed the scene had been cleaned before responders arrived,\u201d Michael Bowe of Brithem LLP told The Post.<\/p>\n

Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra could have been dead for up to an hour before EMTs arrived, and she could have been the victim of an assault, Zirpoli theorized.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe should not be losing body temperature that quickly where she\u2019s cold to the touch. For [EMTs] to recognize that \u2014 that\u2019s cold,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The gumshoe cast doubt on the Suffolk County Police Department\u2019s suggestion that Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra died of a designer-drug overdose.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t see this being a drug overdose. There\u2019s things that are indicative of a drug overdose like frothing of the mouth. It\u2019s not going to cause bleeding in your mouth if you overdose on drugs,\u201d said Zirpoli.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere has to be some sort of assault or something.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nolan-O\u2019Slattara\u2019s family filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit in Manhattan Civil Court on Tuesday, alleging that Durnan caused Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra\u2019s death through assault, negligence, and gross negligence.<\/p>\n

Lawyers for Durnan could not be reached for comment. <\/p>\n

The Suffolk County Police Department said, \u201cthe investigation is still continuing.\u201d<\/p>\n
