Perez Hilton\u2019s family is sharing another update on the celebrity blogger\u2019s condition one day after his \u201csuicide attempt.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis has been incredibly difficult and emotional for us, made even harder because very little information has been made available to our family,\u201d the public statement shared to Hilton\u2019s website reads. \u201cWhile we continue to wait for further updates, we remain hopeful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have also been able to confirm that Perez is able to communicate, which has given our family hope,\u201d Hilton\u2019s loved ones added.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in their statement, Hilton\u2019s family once again thanked \u201ceveryone who has reached out with prayers, kind messages, and support for Perez,\u201d noting that their \u201ccompassionate humanity during this profoundly heartbreaking time has meant more than words can express.\u201d<\/p>\n

They asked for \u201ccontinued prayers, understanding, and grace as Perez continues to recover\u201d and said they will \u201cshare additional updates as [they] receive confirmed information and are able to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor now, we\u2019re taking things one step at a time and keeping our focus where it belongs, on Perez and his recovery,\u201d they added. \u201cAgain, thank you, truly, for all your support and compassion. We are so grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

This update comes about 24 hours after Hilton, born Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., was rushed to the hospital after livestreaming an apparent self-harming video on TikTok Live.<\/p>\n

Hilton \u2014 who is father to three children via surrogacy \u2014 was confirmed to be \u201creceiving medical care\u201d in a previous update from his family, who noted that their \u201cfocus right now is on his well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Miami-Dade County Sheriff\u2019s Office told Page Six Tuesday night that units were dispatched to Hilton\u2019s Miami home after they\u2019d received \u201cmultiple calls\u201d of \u201can individual livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media.\u201d<\/p>\n

Officers spoke with Hilton\u2019s family members at the scene and decided to \u201ctactfully disengage\u201d while continuing to \u201cmonitor the situation\u201d after confirming Hilton, 48, was alone inside.<\/p>\n

The Miami-Dade County Sheriff\u2019s Office later confirmed to Page Six that the individual had \u201cbeen safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention,\u201d noting that their \u201cCrisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals\u201d were \u201con scene providing support and resources to the individual\u2019s family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hilton\u2019s representatives at Golden Artists Entertainment, Dante Rusciolelli and Rebekah Kochan, told Page Six in a statement Tuesday night that they were \u201caware of the concerning content circulating online\u201d involving their client.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him,\u201d they said, adding that their \u201cprimary concern\u201d at the time was Hilton\u2019s \u201chealth and well-being, as well as the well-being of his family.\u201d<\/p>\n

They released an updated statement to Page Six on Wednesday that confirmed they \u201cdo not have any additional information to share.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from fans, friends and members of the media,\u201d Rusciolelli and Rebekah Kochan said. \u201cWe respectfully ask that everyone continue to honor his privacy while he receives the care he needs.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 911 dispatch audio, officers noted that multiple units had responded to the site of a \u201csuicide attempt\u201d and surveillance footage obtained by Page Six shows officers showing up at Hilton\u2019s home multiple times Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Hilton\u2019s sister, Barbara \u201cBarbie\u201d Lavandeira, was photographed arriving to the gossip blogger\u2019s Miami house Wednesday, keeping a low profile and attempting to gain access to the home, which he shared with his mother, Teresita Lavandeira.<\/p>\n

Authorities also showed up to the property and taped it off, per our source, which is \u201cstandard procedure\u201d to assist the family and deal with media presence. We\u2019re told there is no active criminal investigation.<\/p>\n

Hilton\u2019s apparent mental health breakdown comes after a \u201ctraumatic\u201d year that included a cross-country move, a health crisis that \u201calmost killed him\u201d and financial struggles after life-saving surgeries, sources told Page Six Wednesday.<\/p>\n

In the wake of his hospitalization, Hilton\u2019s podcast co-host, Chris Booker, said the show would be put on pause for now, describing it as \u201call TBD at the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n
