The \u201cSopranos\u201d cast is mourning the loss of one of their own.<\/p>\n

Shortly after news broke that Vincent Pastore, who played Salvatore \u201cBig Pussy\u201d Bonpensiero on HBO\u2019s \u201cThe Sopranos,\u201d had died, his co-stars began paying tribute to him.<\/p>\n

In a statement to Page Six, Edie Falco said, \u201cIt\u2019s an awful loss. So unexpected.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress, who played Carmela Soprano on the series, added, \u201cVinnie was always so full of life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michael Imperioli, who played Christopher Moltisanti on \u201cThe Sopranos,\u201d called Pastore a \u201cbeloved friend and collaborator\u201d in a heartfelt Instagram post.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a hard one for us, it seems like I\u2019ve known Vinny forever,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe did lots of work together and traveled all over the USA as well as Italy and Australia. Lots of good times. Lots of laughs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Imperioli concluded his tribute by noting that Pastore \u201cwas a kind hearted brother who cared deeply about his family and friends,\u201d noting, \u201cI will miss him always.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a post shared to her Instagram Stories, Lorraine Bracco wrote, \u201cSuch a funny & charming man\u2026just a beautiful soul.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress, who played Jennifer Melfi on the hit show, called Pastore\u2019s death \u201cabsolutely heartbreaking \ud83d\udc94.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dominic Chianese, who played Corrado \u201cJunior\u201d Soprano, wrote in an Instagram post, \u201cWe lost a friend today.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPaying respect and sending Love in tribute,\u201d he continued. \u201cYou were a gem Vinnie\ud83e\udd0d.\u201d<\/p>\n

Page Six confirmed Pastore\u2019s death at the age of 80 on Saturday, with sources telling us he was found dead by a neighbor in his home on City Island in the Bronx.<\/p>\n

Police sources told Page Six the actor had died of natural causes.<\/p>\n

In a heartfelt statement to Page Six, Pastore\u2019s longtime manager, Robert Attermann, mourned his death in a lengthy statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had the privilege of representing Vinny for more than 30 years, long before \u2018The Sopranos\u2019 made him a household name,\u201d Attermann said. \u201cTo the world, he will always be remembered as the unforgettable \u2018Big Pussy,\u2019 but to those of us who knew him, he was so much more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Attermann called Pastore \u201cone of the kindest, most generous people [he\u2019d] ever known,\u201d noting that he \u201ctreated everyone with warmth and respect, never turning down a fan who wanted a photograph or an autograph.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe loved being an actor. He was passionate about his craft and was always encouraging, respectful, and generous with young actors, taking the time to offer guidance and support whenever he could,\u201d he continued, calling Pastore\u2019s loss \u201cdeeply personal\u201d for him.<\/p>\n

Attermann said he\u2019ll remember Pastore not just for his \u201cremarkable career but also the incredible person he was.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI will miss his friendship, his loyalty, his humor, and his heart,\u201d he wrote, offering his condolences to Pastore\u2019s family, friends, colleagues and \u201ccountless fans whose lives he touched.\u201d<\/p>\n

He noted that the actor \u201cleaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond his memorable performances\u201d and that he\u2019ll \u201cbe greatly missed and never forgotten.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pastore starred on \u201cThe Sopranos\u201d for the iconic show\u2019s first two seasons. He returned for a recurring role in Season 3 and returned in a guest capacity for the final two seasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Sopranos,\u201d largely regarded as one of the greatest dramas of all time, aired for six seasons between 1999 and 2007, earning critical acclaim and numerous awards throughout its run.<\/p>\n

Pastore joins the growing list of \u201cSopranos\u201d cast members who have died over the years, including James Gandolfini, Nancy Marchand and Jerry Adler \u2014 to name a few.<\/p>\n
