The wife of Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich has died following a battle with cancer, the organization announced Thursday.<\/p>\n

The franchise shared the heartbreaking news of Cristina Ulbrich\u2019s death in a statement, remembering her as a devoted member of the Falcons family.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Atlanta Falcons are heartbroken by the passing of Cristina Ulbrich, beloved wife of defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, after her courageous battle with cancer,\u201d the team said.<\/p>\n

The Falcons described Cristina as a \u201cdevoted wife, mother, and friend\u201d whose strength and resilience affected everyone around her.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was a constant source of love and support to Jeff, their family, and the broader Falcons community,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n

Jeff and Cristina shared three children: a daughter, Samantha, and two sons, Jax and Jace, according to his official bio on the Falcons\u2019 website.<\/p>\n

The organization offered its condolences to Ulbrich, his children and the rest of Cristina\u2019s loved ones while asking that the family be given privacy.<\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n

\u201cDuring this incredibly difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with the Ulbrich family,\u201d the team said. \u201cWe ask that their privacy be respected as they grieve this profound loss.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ulbrich was named the Falcons\u2019 defensive coordinator under new head coach Kevin Stefanski in January 2025 after spending four seasons with the Jets, including a stint as New York\u2019s interim head coach during the final 12 games of the 2024 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The former NFL linebacker previously spent six seasons on the Falcons\u2019 coaching staff from 2015-20 after playing his entire 10-year career with the 49ers.<\/p>\n
