More details about ex-Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo\u2019s OWI arrest are coming to light, including a new allegation that an open container of booze was found in his car after he was stopped by cops.<\/p>\n

The Milwaukee County Sheriff\u2019s Office released to the California Post copies of three citations its officers hit Romo with in the immediate aftermath of his July 23 arrest in Wisconsin, and one of them claimed the CBS NFL analyst had an \u201copen bottle of an alcoholic beverage\u201d located on the passenger side of his black Jeep.<\/p>\n

A deputy discovered the item when they were taking inventory of Romo\u2019s car as it was being towed, according to the citation.<\/p>\n

The document stated\u00a0Romo is facing a $267 fine for the alleged \u201cpossess open intoxicants in MV-driver\u201d offense.<\/p>\n

The second citation Romo was tagged with was for \u201cunsafe passing on right.\u201d Police wrote in the document that he drove \u201cin the marked right distress lane to pass vehicles in lanes 1 and 2 during rush hour traffic\u201d before he \u201ccut across the marked gore\u201d to get to where he wanted to go.<\/p>\n

Romo \u201cwas in question on what a gore was when I explained the reason for the stop,\u201d his arresting officer wrote in the citation.<\/p>\n

Romo is facing a fine of $235 for the alleged offense, the document stated.<\/p>\n

The last citation Romo was given was for \u201coperating while under the influence,\u201d an offense that, according to a copy of the citation, carries a $1,066 fine.<\/p>\n

Court records show Romo was additionally later cited for \u201crefuse to take test for intoxication after arrest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Romo, according to body cam footage released to The Post on Tuesday, told cops that he had been coming from a golf course and was on his way \u201cto visit grandma and grandpa\u201d before he was pulled over.<\/p>\n

During his detainment, an officer told him they suspected him of being impaired because he had \u201cred glassy eyes\u201d and an \u201codor of an intoxicating alcoholic beverage\u201d emanating from his person.<\/p>\n

Romo was put through multiple field sobriety tests at a police station, and he appeared to perform poorly on all of them. He also refused to take a breath test, telling one of the officers, \u201cI\u2019ve heard from all the lawyers don\u2019t ever do that. So, we\u2019re not going to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Romo, who\u2019s still yet to publicly comment on the incident, has been given a court date of Sept. 21.<\/p>\n
