A top Democratic Socialists of America leader admitted the left-leaning group wants to abolish prisons, borders, the Senate and lots more during a bizarre but candid television interview.<\/p>\n

DSA national co-chair Megan Romer laid out the radical wish-list Sunday during a round of \u201ctrue or false\u201d questions on Fox News.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust give me a true-or-false on these. Abolish the Senate,\u201d Fox host Shannon Bream asked, to which the party leader answered: \u201cTrue.\u201d<\/p>\n

Romer then gave affirmative answers for \u201cabolish ICE,\u201d \u201cdefund the Pentagon\u201d and \u201cgovernment ownership of large corporations.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said the party would \u201cabolish borders,\u201d give amnesty to illegal immigrants and abolish prisons \u201cas part of a long-term program.\u201d<\/p>\n

The DSA\u2019s most high-profile comrade, Mayor Zohran Mamdani, has pushed plans for the Big Apple that include city-owned grocery stores, more stabilized housing and higher taxes for wealthy New Yorkers. Still, he has sought to distance himself from some of the group\u2019s more radical goals, stating last year that, \u201cMy platform is not the same as national DSA.\u201d<\/p>\n

But he also said he was still a card-carrying socialist after he broke from the far-left group\u00a0over his endorsements in several Democratic Party primaries for congressional seats.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt continues to be my political home; I continue to be a proud member,\u201d Mamdani insisted.<\/p>\n

The TV interview from the DSA leader comes shortly after the group put out a new \u201cWorkers Deserve More\u201d manifesto that called to scrap the executive branch, the Senate and Electoral College to end the two-party system.<\/p>\n

The move to tear up the US Constitution to emulate a European-style parliamentary system where the US House of Representatives would appoint a prime minister-like leader and also choose members of the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n

The declaration, which also called for ranked-choice voting in all elections, concluded that Congress is more democratic than the Senate because the upper chamber has two senators for each state regardless of population.<\/p>\n
