Cody Bellinger, trying to fully bust his way out of an extended slump, roped an RBI single for the lead before leaving the game in the eighth inning with a left hamstring injury that could land him on the injured list. <\/p>\n

And then Jasson Dom\u00ednguez, hoping to prove he can still be part of the solution to withstanding Aaron Judge\u2019s absence, delivered some insurance by crushing a home run from the right side.<\/p>\n

It was still only three runs, scored across three innings, but they were provided by some key bats and complemented the club\u2019s latest strong pitching effort \u2014 this time from Ryan Weathers and three relievers \u2014 as the Yankees beat the Phillies 3-1 on Saturday night at a sold-out Citizens Bank Park.<\/p>\n

An otherwise positive night ended with concern for Bellinger, who came out of the game in the bottom of the eighth after his hamstring grabbed while he was legging out a double in the top of the frame. <\/p>\n

There was some fear that the All-Star might have to join Judge and Giancarlo Stanton on the injured list, but that was dependent on how he woke up Sunday with tests to follow.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt sucks,\u201d Bellinger said. \u201cI hate going down. It\u2019s no fun being on the IL. See how I wake up [Sunday] and hopefully it\u2019s nothing serious.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the injuries and an offense that is still not scoring enough, the Yankees (59-45) won for the ninth time in their last 12 games, but remained two games back of the Rays (who also won again) for the AL East lead.<\/p>\n
