Los Angeles\u2019 crime crisis is hitting everyone \u2014 from everyday residents to the rich and famous \u2014 and reality TV star Morgan Stewart says she\u2019s learned that the hard way.<\/p>\n

Stewart pulled back the curtain on the string of burglaries that have targeted her home during Friday\u2019s episode of the \u201cTherapuss\u201d podcast, describing how thieves repeatedly made off with luxury items despite private security.<\/p>\n

One of the most painful losses came just two days after she returned from France with a coveted Herm\u00e8s Birkin bag.<\/p>\n

\u201cBought it in France, brought it home, stolen out of my house two days later,\u201d Stewart recounted. <\/p>\n

She said the burglars struck after a security guard fell asleep, smashing through her office door before raiding the couple\u2019s bedroom.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey went into our bedroom and ransacked my husband\u2019s watches.\u201d<\/p>\n

The thieves walked away with multiple rare handbags but mysteriously left behind an entire glass display case full of designer bags.<\/p>\n

Stewart believes they assumed the case was alarmed.<\/p>\n

In another break-in, she said, security intercepted the burglars on a nearby hillside as they fled with her jewelry. The repeated invasions have forced her to transform her property into something resembling \u201cFort Knox.\u201d<\/p>\n

The celebrity said she the crimes upset her \u2014 but she also painted a grim picture of life in one of Southern California\u2019s wealthiest enclaves.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was just furious. I was angry. I\u2019m pissed. It\u2019s a violation,\u201d Stewart said.<\/p>\n

She added that the break-ins have become so routine that they\u2019re almost expected.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is happening a lot in the area, unfortunately, it\u2019s happening all the time,\u201d she pointed out. \u201cEveryone I know has gotten robbed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other celebrities have lamented the occurrence of crime in LA for years. Superstar Goldie Hawn in 2024, for instance, declared \u201cL.A. is terrible\u201d after several home break-ins over the course of just four months.<\/p>\n

Hollywood was on high alert last year after a spate of home invasions, crafty break-ins and the recent tragic double-murder of \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband Thomas Deluca inside their Encino home, at the hands of an apparent robber.<\/p>\n

Brad Pitt\u2019s home in a gated community was broken into;\u00a0thieves climbed a fence\u00a0to get on the property and ransacked it. In 2017, Kendall Jenner had hundreds of thousands of dollars of jewelry stolen from her, in what was\u00a0reported to be an inside job.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe unfortunate reality is that the more you have in terms of wealth and notoriety, the more you become a target,\u201d Jeff Zisner, president and CEO of Aegis Security and Investigations, told\u00a0Fox News.<\/p>\n

Robbery statistics have seen some improvement last year in Los Angeles after a spike in 2022, according to police data.<\/p>\n
