However, only 12 will deliberate once all of the evidence has been presented.<\/p>\n<p>As jury selection wrapped up, Reddington revealed in court that the mom\u2019s ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, is now remarried, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick \u2013 who discovered the children dead in their Duxbury home in January 2023 \u2013 filed a motion this week seeking to prevent the public from hearing his 911 call recording, as well as seeing any \u201cpre-incident,\u201d crime scene or autopsy photographs of the three kids, during the highly anticipated trial, according to the court papers.<\/p>\n<p>He also requested that the display of any clothing that once belonged to his children be restricted in the courtroom.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Judge Sullivan reportedly granted the motion Friday, ordering media not to record, display, reproduce, distribute or otherwise disseminate the 911 call and autopsy photos.<\/p>\n<p>However, the evidence will be shown to everyone present in the courtroom \u2014 and reporters are allowed to discuss its contents, WCVB reported.<\/p>\n<p>The defense team filed an additional last-minute motion in an attempt to prevent more than a dozen cops and firefighters who responded to the horrific murder scene from testifying in the trial, which is slated to last up to two months and feature testimonies of up to 200 witnesses, including Patrick.<\/p>\n<p>The first responders already \u201ctestified in the grand jury to basically the same facts,\u201d and \u201crepeated testimony of this nature is and would be irreparably prejudicial,\u201d Reddington wrote in the filing.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding that motion, the judge said he will sidebar with both the defense and prosecution attorneys before each new witness takes the stand, so he can decide whether their testimony is necessary, outlets reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Opening statements were slated to begin Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Clancy is accused of using exercise bands to kill her young kids in the basement of the family\u2019s home before becoming paralyzed from the waist down after a botched bid to kill herself.<\/p>\n<p>The trial will hinge on whether jurors believe the mom was suffering from postpartum psychosis worsened by a cocktail of antipsychotic medication when she allegedly committed the crime, experts previously told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors are expected to argue that the mother wasn\u2019t suffering a mental break \u2013 rather, she was lucid enough to methodically plan how to get her husband out of the house that day so she could be alone with their children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/metrotransitreview.com\/?p=5285\">How the 76ers overcame underdog status to woo LeBron James in massive NBA coup<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prospective jurors in Massachusetts mom Lindsay Clancy\u2019s triple-murder trial were required to answer a lengthy list of personal questions about mental illness and who they know.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":5290,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-5291","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-us-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.6 -
