Jon Bon Jovi abruptly ended his show at Madison Square Garden Thursday as he struggled to get through his set.<\/p>\n

The rock icon, 64, was playing night eight of his nine-show residency at MSG in New York City as part of his Forever Tour, when he said he had to stop the show after singing his 1986 hit, \u201cLivin\u2019 on a Prayer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry, I\u2019m hurt and you\u2019re not getting the best of me,\u201d an eyewitness told Page Six he told the audience.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t throw away your ticket stubs, I\u2019m gonna figure something out, OK?\u201d he continued. \u201cJust hold onto it, we\u2019ll figure out how to reschedule.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bon Jovi added before walking off the stage, \u201cBut I\u2019m gonna have to cool it for the night. I feel great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Representatives for the \u201cIt\u2019s My Life\u201d singer told Page Six in a statement, \u201cThe Bon Jovi concert at Madison Square Garden ended after 90 mins tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJon Bon Jovi spoke from stage and told fans he has been battling a sinus infection which led to the show\u2019s early ending,\u201d it continued. \u201cAs part of the Bon Jovi residency at Madison Square Garden, Jon has said numerous times that it has been a joy to return to live shows for the band.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement concluded, \u201cUpdated information will be available shortly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans on social media were quick to share their support for Bon Jovi.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat must have broke his heart to have to end it early,\u201d one person wrote, with another adding, \u201cHeartbreaking end to the show (seeing what it meant to him) but having landed in from the UK for it, I was still blown away!!\u201d<\/p>\n

The Forever Tour marks the band\u2019s first tour since its frontman\u00a0underwent vocal cord surgery\u00a0in 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a lot of joy in this announcement \u2014 joy that we can share these nights together with our amazing fans and joy that the band can be together,\u201d Bon Jovi said in a statement unveiling the tour.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am lucky enough to be able to hold a light out to the audience each night and stand in their reflection for a tremendous collective experience \u2014 I get to stand in the WE of our concerts,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

In 2024, he told the Sunday Times he might never sing live again following his vocal cord surgery if he can\u2019t sing at the level he\u2019s accustomed to, telling the outlet, \u201cIf the singing is not great, if I can\u2019t be the guy I once was \u2026 then I\u2019m done.\u201d<\/p>\n

But last month, he told People he was \u201cfully recovered.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was longer than I\u2019d ever expected, but it had to be right. We never lost faith,\u201d he told the mag.<\/p>\n
