Trae Young is still playing the part.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s been five years since Young and the Hawks beat the Knicks in the first round of the playoffs, he\u2019s still embracing his role as a New York villain.<\/p>

At Fanatics Fest on Saturday at the Javits Center, Young, now with the Wizards, took the stage with a Jalen Brunson blue road jersey and attempted to rip up the Knicks star\u2019s uniform.<\/p>\n

Young tugged on the jersey, though it merely stretched more than ripped before he tossed it into the crowd.<\/p>\n

The guard was also seen being booed by fans as he walked through the New York-hosted event.<\/p>\n

Young\u2019s jersey rip was not the only Knicks trolling he\u2019s been up to this weekend.<\/p>\n

On Friday night, Young posted a video to his Instagram story of himself being driven around in a car \u2014 while watching his highlights against the Knicks from the 2021 postseason.<\/p>\n

While Young was impressive in that series against the Knicks, New Yorkers have certainly gotten the last laugh as the Knicks went on to end their championship drought this year.<\/p>\n

Young, meanwhile, saw his time in Atlanta come to an end in January as he was traded to the Wizards.<\/p>\n

He played just five games for Washington before being shut down for the season. <\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n

This offseason, he signed a four-year, $212 million contract to stay in the nation\u2019s capital.<\/p>\n

The Wizards missed the playoffs once again, though better days could be on the horizon with Young, Anthony Davis and No. 1 overall draft pick AJ Dybantsa on the roster.<\/p>\n

Washington also has Alex Sarr, Tre Johnson and Will Riley on the books as the franchise looks to get back to the postseason.<\/p>
