A San Diego power couple is shelling out a staggering $250,000 a year on a full household staff to help raise their two children \u2014 part of a growing trend among America\u2019s wealthiest families who are outsourcing everything from diaper duty to potty training.<\/p>\n

Christine Landis, CEO of Peacock Parent, and her husband don\u2019t just employ a weekend nanny. They have a live-in full-time \u201cfamily assistant,\u201d a personal chef and a housekeeper, creating what amounts to a private parenting dream team.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery hour I\u2019m not bogged down with the doing is an hour I get to show up fully present with my kids,\u201d Landis told the Wall Street Journal.<\/p>\n

Landis\u2019 company uses AI to help \u201cfamilies and professionals rethink what balance looks like, showing that asking for help isn\u2019t indulgent; it\u2019s intelligent,\u201d according to its website.<\/p>\n

These days, wealthy parents aren\u2019t just hiring nannies to watch the kids. They\u2019re bringing on \u201cfamily assistants\u201d who handle everything from bath time and bedtime stories to errands, household management and child care \u2014 leaving mom and dad free to focus on what they see as quality time.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s just the beginning.<\/p>\n

The booming luxury parenting industry now includes baby chefs whipping up gourmet infant pur\u00e9es, high-end potty training consultants and even professionals who will teach your child to ride a bike.<\/p>\n

These speciality concierge services aren\u2019t cheap, with potty training consultants charging anywhere from $600 up to nearly $5,000 for multi-day services.<\/p>\n

Bike-riding coaches can cost more than $400, while someone willing to pack your kid\u2019s bags for summer camp may charge $125 an hour.<\/p>\n

Seth Norman Greenberg, with the household-staffing firm Pavillion Agency, said things have never been busier for the business \u2014 which started in 1962 and is based in West Hollywood and New York.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are busier than we\u2019ve ever been,\u201d Greenberg said. \u201cThe environment, the economy, it\u2019s just producing these millionaires and billionaires.\u201d<\/p>\n

Co-founder of the Kardashian brands Skims and Good American, Emma Grede, also relies on a team of people to help raise her four kids, calling herself a \u201cmax-three-hour mum.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCutting sandwiches into star shapes? That was never it for me,\u201d Grede previously told the outlet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIf getting help with the logistics means I can spend my time focused on the moments that really matter with my children, I don\u2019t see that as outsourcing parenting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI see it as being intentional about where I spend my time,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

As far as concerns if children will know who\u2019s mom or the nanny, Landis admits she\u2019s been unsure before. Like when she heard her kid say \u201cI love you\u201d to the nanny and heard it said back, but she said those feelings passed.<\/p>\n
