They couldn\u2019t let it skate.<\/p>\n

A scrawny skateboarder tangled with a Mercedes driver in a pitiful East Village street fight Tuesday \u2014 with one of them regretting the twerpy throwdown, a wild viral video shows.<\/p>\n

The one-minute clip posted on X is packed with shocking twists and turns, including the skateboard being weaponized as its owner uses it to hit the SUV, and the driver then picks it up to wallop him with it before it changes hands a third time.<\/p>\n

Spoilers: the motorist lost the fight after he ended up in a headlock, according to police and the video.<\/p>\n

\u201cHoly f\u2013k, New York is lit!\u201d Michael O\u2019Hara, 35, a freelance photographer, exclaims at the end of the clip, which he posted on X early Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The melee unfolded Tuesday along St. Marks Place near Second Avenue when the driver \u2014 a 34-year-old man \u2014 argued with the still-unidentified skateboarder.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Hara, who exclusively talked to The Post, said he missed what sparked the street fight, but bystanders told him that the motorist had almost struck a skateboarder with dyed blonde hair and another man with the SUV.<\/p>\n

The shouting match didn\u2019t seem out-of-the-ordinary for a New York City street until the blond skater picked up the skateboard and smashed the SUV\u2019s front windshield, O\u2019Hara said Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve seen some crazy s\u2013t in Florida, but I\u2019ve never seen anyone once put a skateboard through (a window),\u201d the Sunshine State native joked.<\/p>\n

The video shot by O\u2019Hara picks up moments after the skateboarder smashed the windshield, and shows him club the car two more times before throwing the board against it.<\/p>\n

After the skateboard ricocheted to the sidewalk, the irate driver ran out and picked the board up, using it to land a body blow against its owner, the video shows.<\/p>\n

The pair of pint-sized men \u2014 who O\u2019Hara joked were \u201ctwo 4-foot-6 dudes\u201d \u2014 then awkwardly scuffle until the skateboarder throws the motorist to the ground, according to the video.<\/p>\n

The skateboarder then picks up the board once more and smashes it over the driver\u2019s head \u2014 all while a woman dressed in white, who was in the car, screams, \u201cStop,\u201d the footage shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, my God,\u201d O\u2019Hara can be heard on the video as the sound of the board hitting the man\u2019s head echoed.<\/p>\n

The boarder then put the driver into a headlock as bystanders try to get them to break it up. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe attacked me,\u201d the skateboarder yells.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe hit me with his car,\u201d another man, who was apparently with the skateboarder when the fight started, screams at the onlookers.<\/p>\n

The video ends with O\u2019Hara walking around the damaged SUV and panning back to show the driver still being held in a headlock by the skateboarder.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Hara said he walked away at that point, opting to not let the unpleasantness ruin his \u201cnice day.\u201d He later shared the video on social media, where it racked up more than 3 million views on X alone.<\/p>\n

NYPD cops responded to find that the driver lost consciousness while in the headlock, police said. Medics took him to Bellevue hospital in stable condition, officials said.<\/p>\n

The skateboarder left before police arrived and no one has been arrested in the ongoing investigation, police said.<\/p>\n

Many X commenters lambasted O\u2019Hara for not trying to break up the fight, but he said that wasn\u2019t his business.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re clearly not from here,\u201d he said to the haters.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is New York City, we mind our own business here\u2026 A stupid fight like that between two grown men, I\u2019m not going to get involved in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

After learning the driver lost consciousness, O\u2019Hara said he shouldn\u2019t have opted to fight in the first place.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t get out of a car,\u201d he said. \u201cThere\u2019s no way in hell I would\u2019ve gotten out of a car to fight somebody.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
