Vice President JD Vance asserted in a bombshell interview with Joe Rogan that some in the Israeli government want to derail US negotiations with Iran to keep the war going \u201cindefinitely\u201d \u2014 and he acknowledged the Trump administration \u201cscrewed up\u201d the release of the Epstein files.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there have been people within the Israeli government who are trying to, like, actually shift us away from [negotiations] because they want to continue the military campaign,\u201d Vance told the popular podcaster during an episode of the \u201cJoe Rogan Experience\u201d released Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are some people within their system, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt, who are manipulating and trying to change American public opinion to keep the war going on indefinitely,\u201d the vice president later added. \u201cAgain, not towards any objective, but just indefinitely.\u201d<\/p>\n

Without naming Israel, Vance further alleged that there is a \u201cvery discreet, extremely well-funded \u2026 literal foreign-influence campaign being funded to tank\u201d the Iran deal.<\/p>\n

The vice president, however, was adamant that Israeli pressure didn\u2019t influence President Trump\u2019s decision to go to war in Iran.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the president, completely separate from any influence from Israel, believes very strongly, and again I agree with this, that Iran should not have a nuclear weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vance described himself as a \u201creasonable moderate\u201d in the \u201cmassive pro-Israel, anti-Israel debate\u201d taking place in the US.<\/p>\n

Midway through the nearly three-hour-long interview, Rogan asked Vance about the Trump administration\u2019s \u201cresistance\u201d to releasing government files related to notorious sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n

The vice president acknowledged missteps but insisted there was no cover-up.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe absolutely screwed up the comms of the Epstein files. Like, we just did,\u201d Vance said. \u201cBut do I think the reason we screwed up the comms is because we were trying to hide something? No.\u201d<\/p>\n
