Norah O\u2019Donnell is putting women\u2019s health in the spotlight with a new podcast that she says will cut through misinformation.<\/p>\n

The veteran CBS News journalist will debut \u201cHealthful\u201d on July 22, marking her latest role at the network after stepping down from the anchor chair at the \u201cEvening News\u201d last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery week I want to bring you the latest science and trusted medical expertise,\u201d O\u2019Donnell says in the trailer for the weekly show, which features conversations with doctors and researchers on topics including menopause, reproductive health, cancer, the gut microbiome and women\u2019s sexual health.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal is simple \u2026 to deliver fact-based information that you can trust,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

The podcast will also include a recurring segment dubbed \u201cTurning the Tables,\u201d in which guests get to quiz O\u2019Donnell about her own health habits and wellness routine.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Donnell told Women\u2019s Health magazine that the podcast is designed to answer the questions many women struggle to navigate amid an overload of conflicting medical advice.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m introducing women to the world\u2019s leading experts on all these things that we want to know more about at a time where we have all this access to information, and yet many of us are more confused than ever,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The 52-year-old journo said reporting the series exposed her to topics she hadn\u2019t previously encountered, including the rise of lung cancer among women who have never smoked.<\/p>\n

Health and fitness play a central role in O\u2019Donnell\u2019s own routine.<\/p>\n

She told Women\u2019s Health she works with trainer Kira Stokes several times a week on strength and mobility exercises, plays tennis on weekends, takes walks after dinner and starts most mornings with a smoothie made with blueberries, turmeric, Greek yogurt, almond butter and creatine before heading to work.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Donnell has spent roughly three decades as one of the top names in television news.<\/p>\n

After beginning her career covering Congress for Roll Call, she joined NBC News before moving to CBS in 2011 as chief White House correspondent.<\/p>\n

She later became co-host of \u201cCBS This Morning\u201d and, in 2019, anchor and managing editor of the \u201cCBS Evening News.\u201d She was the only network evening news anchor based in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n

After leaving the nightly broadcast earlier this year, O\u2019Donnell transitioned into an expanded role as a CBS News senior correspondent, contributing to \u201c60 Minutes\u201d and hosting \u201cPerson to Person.\u201d<\/p>\n
