Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo and his wife of 14 years, Fleur Shomo, are legally going their separate ways nearly two months after he came out as gay.<\/p>\n

Page Six can exclusively reveal that the now-former couple jointly filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this week.<\/p>\n

They do not share any children.<\/p>\n

The metalcore rocker, who wed\u00a0Fleur in April 2012, revealed that he is \u201ca proudly gay man\u201d in a vulnerable statement posted on Instagram on May 23.<\/p>\n

Despite feeling \u201churt\u201d and \u201cdisoriented\u201d by her then-husband\u2019s revelation, Fleur publicly vowed to \u201clove and support\u201d him \u2014 and asked his fans to do the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cSending love and support \ud83d\udcaa\u00a0His statement is powerful,\u201d one of whom subsequently\u00a0posted on X.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so proud of Caleb Shomo,\u201d\u00a0added another X user\u00a0who emphasized \u201chow hard it can be to come to terms with being queer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Someone else\u00a0stressed that \u201cit is never too late to come out as gay\u201d\u00a0and marveled, \u201cHis wife\u2019s mindset is truly respectable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many critics were quick to condemn the singer-songwriter, 33, for \u201cwasting\u201d Fleur\u2019s time, but as one defender\u00a0argued, \u201cAny gay individual coming out after 14 years of straight marriage in our homomisic, cisheteronormative society is not inherently an abuser that wasted years of their partner\u2019s life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Those who have followed Caleb\u2019s journey know he was raised in a hyper-religious family and struggled with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders and substance abuse.<\/p>\n

After leaving the band Attack Attack!, the vocalist formed Beartooth, whose early music focused on mental health struggles and personal demons.<\/p>\n

But in February, the group\u00a0released a track titled \u201cFree,\u201d\u00a0on which Caleb sings, \u201cThere\u2019s nobody else I\u2019d rather be, so what the f\u2013k is stopping me?\u201d<\/p>\n

He previously described the single as \u201cthe start of the next chapter of [his] music and [his] life,\u201d elaborating, \u201cThis song shows a glimpse of what is to come from the next\u00a0Beartooth\u00a0album, which is the most honest depiction of my soul I will most likely ever make.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans picked up what he was putting down and flooded the comments section of the track\u2019s music video with positivity.<\/p>\n

\u201cHearing Beartooth\u2019s first song talking about dealing with alcoholism to hearing this now is really invigorating,\u201d one person remarked beneath the visual.<\/p>\n

\u201c2016: I just wanna live free! 2026: I\u2019m free! Such a huge difference in 10 years, so proud of you Caleb \u2764\ufe0f,\u201d another supporter echoed.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood for him! Congratulations for being so brave and open!!\u201d someone else chimed in, with yet another commenter adding, \u201cI\u2019m happy that Caleb seems to be healing and that he is feeling so comfortable with himself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe self love and confidence is beautiful. I\u2019m so happy to see him expressing himself. Been here since the beginning, not going anywhere anytime soon!\u00a0\ud83d\udda4\ud83d\udda4,\u201d one particular day-one exclaimed, as someone else praised the musician for his commitment to \u201cbeing the happiest version of himself!\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Caleb\u2019s bandmates\u2019 reaction to the news, Beartooth bassist Oshie Bichar\u00a0has publicly offered his pal support.<\/p>\n
