WASHINGTON \u2014\u00a0Far-left streamer Hasan Piker has been visibly rattled by the federal investigation into whether his jaunt to Cuba back in March violated US sanctions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not great,\u201d Piker bluntly told his audience about the probe Sunday. \u201cI mean it\u2019s bulls\u2014, but still not great that they\u2019re after your boy. They\u2019re up my ass.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, free me. Free me,\u201d the 34-year-old riffed in response to a comment that flashed on his feed. \u201cI can\u2019t believe I\u2019m saying that. But I\u2019m about to be seemingly made an example of.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, Fox News reported that the feds subpoenaed Piker and CodePink co-founder Medea Benjamin over their trip to the Communist island 90 miles off the coast of Florida.<\/p>\n

Left-wing Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) added salt to Piker\u2019s wounds by reposting a mocking video needling him for declining to vote for former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean Kamala would have never,\u201d Threads user TalkUrShxxtNene chided Piker in the video, to which Crockett reacted with sideye emojis. \u201cThat\u2019s what you get for telling people to vote third party or not vote at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Piker and Benjamin were two of more than three dozen individuals under investigation by the Treasury Department\u2019s Office of Foreign Assets Control.<\/p>\n

The subpoenas for communications and other relevant documents came in response to an online rumor that Piker and his comrades stayed at a US-sanctioned hotel in Havana. Participants in the trip have denied that rumor.<\/p>\n

The Treasury Department declined to comment when asked by The Post about the investigation. <\/p>\n

The Treasury\u2019s Cuban Assets Control Regulations place tight restrictions on dealings with Cuba, particularly regarding certain hotels and other businesses that have direct ties to the government.<\/p>\n

There are carveouts for humanitarian initiatives, as well as journalism, education, and similar ventures.<\/p>\n

Piker was among hundreds of lefties who joined the \u201cNuestra America Convoy,\u201d featuring socialists from Europe and North America, who traveled to Cuba under the pretense of distributing humanitarian aid.<\/p>\n

That trip was a response to President Trump\u2019s aggressive pressure campaign against Havana, which is undergoing an energy crisis following the January apprehension of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Trump administration is investigating people for bringing medicine to Cuban children while defending policies that deprive those same children of food, fuel, and basic medical supplies,\u201d\u00a0Benjamin raged on X Sunday.\u00a0\u201cIf loving the Cuban people is a crime, then millions around the world are guilty too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Piker, a nephew of \u201cYoung Turks\u201d host Cenk Uygur, has a history of inflammatory and hateful rhetoric.<\/p>\n

Infamously, he declared in 2019 that \u201cAmerica deserved 9\/11\u2033 and later claimed the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack was a \u201cdirect consequence\u201d of Israeli actions, adding that even if the terror group engaged in rape, it \u201cdoesn\u2019t change the dynamic for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Piker has also gushed over the \u201cbrave mujahideen\u201d who injured Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) during his military service in Afghanistan \u2014 and even suggested that Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) should die.<\/p>\n
