Sick trolls have responded to the death of GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham with gloating homophobic remarks and other twisted comments.<\/p>\n

But the late South Carolina pol, who died Saturday at age 71, also received support from an unlikely source: Monica Lewinsky, the onetime young White House lover of Democratic then-President Bill Clinton.<\/p>\n

\u201cLindsey Graham is dead. Have a great Sunday!\u201d said \u201cGame of Thrones\u201d star and activist Liam Cunningham\u00a0on X.<\/p>\n

Author Seth Harp posted, \u201cI was going to go piss on Lindsey Graham\u2019s grave, but when I got out of the army, I vowed that I would never wait in line for anything ever again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grayzone correspondent Wyatt Reed\u00a0wrote on X, \u201cCongratulations to every peace-loving person on the planet \u2014 The world is a little brighter today. Happy holidays to all who celebrate!\u201d <\/p>\n

White supremacist Nick Fuentes\u00a0wrote, \u201cGood riddance\u201d on X, while\u00a0Ana Kasparian from \u201cThe Young Turks\u201d radical news program also posted, \u201cGood riddance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other people made homophobic comments about Graham, who was single, had no children and was rumored to be gay.<\/p>\n

Some commenters decided it was important to reference Graham\u2019s alleged sexual preference in their tweets.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone on CNN saying Lindsay Graham was a \u2018complicated\u2019 man, like just say gay please lol,\u201d journalist John Teufel posted.<\/p>\n

Another journo, Eric Spracklen, wrote on X, \u201cPlease stop acting happy over Lindsey Graham and pray for his wife and kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many X users, including former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, responded by criticizing the trolls.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can tell a lot about a person by how they react when someone dies,\u201d Pratt wrote\u00a0on X.<\/p>\n

Journalist Piers Morgan also compared the sick social-media reaction to Graham\u2019s passing to the response to the violent death of British politician Ann Widdecombe this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cSeeing the despicably cruel, heartless and abusive way that many people in UK and US have responded to the deaths of conservative politicians, Ann Widdecombe and Lindsey Graham, reminds me that the least kind people on earth are ironically those on the #BeKind woke left,\u201d Morgan\u00a0wrote on X.<\/p>\n

Lewinsky also defended Graham, thanking him for supporting her when she was the victim of a smear campaign by Clinton\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve disagreed with many (many) of Lindsey Graham\u2019s choices and beliefs, but he was also \u2014 as one of the house managers on the \u201898 impeachment \u2014 the one who worked tirelessly to prove there was a smear campaign against me from inside the WH. RIP,\u201d Lewinsky wrote.<\/p>\n

Graham died after a \u201cbrief illness,\u201d according to a statement from his office.<\/p>\n

The experienced politician had just returned from a state visit to Ukraine, his 10th since the start of Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion.<\/p>\n

He received praise from across the world after his death, with President Trump saying he was \u201clike family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Graham also was described as a \u201ctrue defender of freedom and the values of our alliance\u201d by Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/p>\n
