Iran launched missiles and drones toward American military bases in four Middle Eastern countries Thursday following a second night of US strikes on the Islamic Republic.<\/p>\n

Tehran said it targeted Patriot missile interceptors in Kuwait, early warning systems in Qatar, and fuel depots in Bahrain, which is also the home of the US Navy\u2019s 5th Fleet.<\/p>\n

Iran also fired at least 10 ballistic missiles toward Jordan\u2019s Azraq military base, which hosts the US Air Force\u2019s 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing, according the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).<\/p>\n

Jordan\u2019s armed forces said eight of the missiles were intercepted, with debris falling onto its territory, but no injuries reported.<\/p>\n

Kuwait\u2019s military also confirmed the attacks, saying its forces intercepted a cruise missile, three ballistic missiles and 10 drones.<\/p>\n

At least one person was injured by falling shrapnel from the interceptions, Kuwaiti officials added.<\/p>\n

Bahrain said it shot down incoming fire without elaborating, while there was no immediate word of damage in Qatar.<\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s top negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, signaled that the latest bombardments were in direct response to America\u2019s airstrikes.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe US has yet to learn that bullying and breaking \u200bits commitments no longer come without \u2060a cost. Let me be clear: If you strike, you will be struck back,\u201d\u00a0Ghalibaf wrote on X. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Strait of Hormuz will be reopened only under Iranian arrangements, not through US threats,\u201d he added, referencing Trump\u2019s justification for Wednesday\u2019s strikes. <\/p>\n

Trump said the US bombardment, which hit about 90 Iranian military targets, were \u201cretribution\u201d for Tehran\u2019s attack on commercial ships trying to cross the Strait of Hormuz, a key trade choke point through which an estimated 20% of the world\u2019s oil transports pass.<\/p>\n

The American assault was aimed at defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, and missile and drone storage sites, with Iran reporting 14 killed and 78 wounded across five provinces.<\/p>\n

Thursday marked the third day of tit-for-tat strikes between the US and Iran, with Trump previously warning Iran that launching another attack would provoke an even stronger response.<\/p>\n

The president suggested on Wednesday that he may be done negotiating with Iran and hinted that the US should just \u201cfinish the job.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not long after, however, the president indicated that he did not believe the unfolding attacks foretold a return to long-term war.<\/p>\n
