What a rotten week Prince Harry has had.<\/p>\n

First he found out that British taxpayers wouldn\u2019t be footing the security bill for his trip to the UK.<\/p>\n

This meant Meghan and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet, had to stay home in Los Angeles as \u201cH\u201d jetted around Britain to promote his Invictus Games.<\/p>\n

Sorry, Your Highnesses, but we Brits have better ways to spend our hard-earned money than on bouncers for two preening ex-royals.<\/p>\n

If we can dine out without government-funded heavies watching our backs, so can you.<\/p>\n

Then Harry was refused a room at Buckingham Palace because, palace officials said, he responded \u201ctoo late\u201d to their invitation.<\/p>\n

Oof \u2014 things must be rough between King Charles and his prodigal son.<\/p>\n

Buck Palace has 775 rooms<\/em> and not one could be spared for the ginger whinger, as our tabloids call Harry.<\/p>\n

Then came the prince\u2019s most devastating blow: He lost his long-running legal battle with Associated Newspapers, publishers of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday.<\/p>\n

And he lost in spectacular fashion.<\/p>\n

Harry and some celeb chums had accused the Mail newspapers of gathering information about them \u201cunlawfully.\u201d<\/p>\n

But the judge threw out every one of their claims, ruling they had categorically failed to prove their \u201csuspicions\u201d that the Mail had hacked their phones and bugged their homes.<\/p>\n

Harry and his pals have been left with an eye-watering $67 million legal bill.<\/p>\n

And he won\u2019t even be able to drown his sorrow at the drinks cabinet in his dad\u2019s sprawling palace.<\/p>\n

But don\u2019t feel sorry for him.<\/p>\n

His court humiliation is a momentous victory for freedom of the press \u2014 and a brutal defeat for the tyrannical self-pity of celebrity narcissists like Harry and Meghan.<\/p>\n

The prince famously hates the British press, in part because of what he sees as its \u201chounding\u201d of his late mother, Princess Diana.<\/p>\n

He had been preparing his case against Associated Newspapers for years.<\/p>\n

When it finally came to the High Court in London in January, the BBC hailed \u201cHarry\u2019s war\u201d on the tabloids.<\/p>\n

The woke leftists of the cancel-culture mob cheered him on, hoping this high and mighty prince would clip the wings of the \u201cgutter press.\u201d<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s Harry\u2019s wings that were clipped.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a 436-page judgment, Mr. Justice Matthew Nicklin dismissed all 97 claims of \u201cunlawful\u201d journalism made by Harry and his gang, which included Elton John and his husband David Furnish, actresses Elizabeth Hurley and Sadie Frost and a couple of UK politicians.<\/p>\n

All claimed to have been bugged, followed and pestered by the Mail newspapers.<\/p>\n

Hurley dramatically wept in the dock as she claimed the Mail had surreptitiously gathered intel about her paternity fight with US businessman Steve Bing over their son.<\/p>\n

Harry turned as red as his hair with anger as he insisted the papers had used \u201cunlawfully gathered information\u201d in 14 articles about him<\/p>\n

But Justice Nicklin was skeptical \u2014 \u00a0because the luminaries failed to offer any facts, only \u201csuspicions\u201d that they were spied on.<\/p>\n

It was a \u201cmagnificent vindication\u201d of its journalism, Associated Newspapers proclaimed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Indeed: Though sneering social-justice warriors dream of muzzling newspapers that take them to task, it\u2019s wonderful to see one of the highest courts in Britain take journalists\u2019 side.<\/p>\n

And the process beautifully exposed Prince Harry\u2019s hypocrisy.<\/p>\n

Paul Dacre, Associated Newspapers\u2019 editor-in-chief, pointed out that Harry himself has poured every sordid detail of his life into the public realm.<\/p>\n

He wrote a \u201csad book,\u201d said Dacre \u2014 referring to Harry\u2019s self-pitying memoir \u201cSpare\u201d \u2014 in which he \u201cboasted about his killing of 25 Taliban, his drug-taking and, in cringe-making detail, how he lost his virginity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere isn\u2019t a laundry in the cosmos big enough to wash all the dirty linen he has aired about his own family,\u201d Dacre said.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the Harry and Meghan way: They moan about the press invading their privacy, then invite Netflix into their home to film their every move.<\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n

It\u2019s not us hounding them, it\u2019s them hounding us. Leave us alone!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Everyone is sick of these rich, grifting royals playing the victim \u2014 as when Meghan moaned about the horrors of palace life to her billionaire chum Oprah Winfrey while wearing a dress that cost more than most people earn in a month.<\/p>\n

We can only hope the verdict will finally curb this obnoxious pair\u2019s aristocratic self-pity.<\/p>\n

And with the court\u2019s resounding endorsement of press freedom, Harry\u2019s loss is liberty\u2019s gain.<\/p>\n
