The Alabama mom allegedly butchered by her teen son had fought with him about her Facebook posts \u2014 where she once griped about his \u201cattitude\u201d \u2014 in the hours leading up to the gruesome attack that also left her husband fighting for his life, a neighbor exclusively revealed to The Post.<\/p>\n

Samantha Baker, 37 \u2014 who was found dead from multiple stab wounds outside an Augustine Drive home in the private Belforest complex late Sunday \u2014 had tried to put her enraged 17-year-old son Brandon in his place earlier that day, according to the family\u2019s next-door neighbor, Shawn Scurry.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Surveillance camera footage taken from Scurry\u2019s home captured tense audio snippets of the argument that unfolded between the mother-son duo on their front porch around 2:30 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Scurry believed the pair was fighting about Samantha\u2019s Facebook, where she posted about her two sons and her family life. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe was asking about a comment, and she was saying it was just a story,\u201d Scurry said. \u201cShe was saying \u2026 it wasn\u2019t about him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 51-year-old neighbor said she assumed, based on the \u201cloud\u201d exchange, that Samantha\u2019s frequent posts about Brandon \u201cwas starting to hurt him.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cShe does talk kind of rude about the kids \u2026 and, you know, they are teenagers,\u201d Scurry said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The parents\u2019 16-year-old son was not home when his only brother allegedly charged at his parents with a kitchen knife, chasing them out of their home in the well-kempt complex, according to cops.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chilling photos shared by Samantha on Facebook show her and Lance posing cheerily with their boys at high school football games, on a dock and inside a church.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love being a football mom. I don\u2019t love the way they smell but hard work does stink!\u201d the mom captioned one Oct. 6, 2025, post, along with a carousel of images showing her sons on the field and smiling after a game.<\/p>\n

\u201cWelcome to the Baker house\u2026we laugh then holler then act like nothing happened until it\u2019s time to holler and laugh again. It\u2019s a s*** show over here. Enter at your own risk,\u201d she captioned another post a week later.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But her posts sometimes hinted at less rosy family dynamics.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In one post for \u201cNational Sons\u2019 Day\u201d last year, the mom wrote that her Brandon was \u201ca sweet guy\u201d \u2014 but then noted \u201chis mouth and attitude.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a calm presence until he isn\u2019t. He marches to the beat of his own drum,\u201d Samantha continued in the caption.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And in a final birthday post dedicated to him, in September, she wrote, \u201cYou are an amazing person and yet at the same time you make my blood boil.\u201d<\/p>\n

More recently, in January, Samantha reposted a head-scratching meme that read: \u201cGentle parenting is for gentle children. My thugs will be handled accordingly.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

She shared a similar \u2014 now eerie meme \u2014 last May as well. It read: \u201cOnly parents with gentle children can gentle parent. The rest of us have to square up, and fight for our lives with the tiny bullies we made,\u201d alongside her caption, \u201cAnd I do square up! I don\u2019t have gentle kids! They are feral.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Scurry, Samantha ultimately put her foot down on Sunday, ending the argument.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe [got] the final say and that was for him to go do his chore, which is to mow the lawn\u201d \u2014 which he then did, she recalled.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI always saw him mowing the lawn \u2026 so it didn\u2019t seem like it was a problem for him to do it that day,\u201d added Scurry, who said it was her first time hearing the family argue in roughly one year since she moved next door.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Brandon is now facing murder and attempted murder charges after Samantha and her husband, 46-year-old Lance Baker, were found with numerous stab wounds hours later at around 9 p.m., according to cops.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The bloodbath began after the parents got into a separate argument with their son over a disciplinary issue inside the house, Baldwin County Sheriff\u2019s Office Captain Justin Correa told The Post Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when Brandon grabbed the knife and began wielding it at his mom and dad \u2014 stabbing them both repeatedly as they fled outside in a desperate bid to escape, according to cops and Scurry.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can hear both of them coming out of the house, and there\u2019s like one scream from the mom,\u201d said Scurry, whose Nest camera picked up audio of the sickening assault.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThen the dad is arguing with the [son] \u2014 and when I say arguing, I mean like, \u2018Why are you doing this?\u2019 \u2026 He\u2019s basically saying, \u2018I don\u2019t want to die. Please stop. No.\u2019 And then he\u2019s repeating, \u2018Somebody help me, please, help me\u2019 very loudly,\u201d the shaken neighbor explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At one point, the audio captures the teen \u201ctelling [the dad] he was gonna kill him. Those words are in the video,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lance\u2019s spine-chilling screams could still be heard as he ran door to door down the block, leaving bloodied handprints on neighbors\u2019 front doors while seeking help \u2014 with his son right on his tail, according to Scurry.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The teen eventually went back home and called 911, said authorities, who described the attack as an isolated domestic matter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cops arrested him without incident, according to Correa.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Samantha, a realtor, was pronounced dead at the scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Before the coroner arrived, \u201cI saw her face down with stab wounds all over her back,\u201d Scurry told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lance, a US Army Reserve Battalion Commander with the 1184th Deployment and Distribution Support Battalion in Mobile, was flown to a local hospital in critical condition, according to cops.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As of Wednesday, the father of two was still in the hospital, where he\u2019s in stable condition, Correa said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The teen, who will be tried as an adult, is being held in jail on a $1 million bond after his arraignment on Monday.<\/p>\n
