A Canadian dentist murdered his two sons, then firebombed the practice where he worked and killed himself in a vehicle blaze \u2014 two years after reportedly emailing his children\u2019s mother that he would \u201ckill everyone around her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mohammed Al-Lami, 40, is believed to have murdered his sons, aged 7 and 12, in his south Ottawa home before he was found dead in a vehicle fire in Kemptville on the morning of June 29, according to the Ottawa Police Service.<\/p>\n

Police also linked Al-Lami to a blaze at the dental practice where he worked in Iroquois, according to cops and the CBC.<\/p>\n

Al-Lami railed against his ex-wife and the criminal justice and family court systems in a multi-page handwritten note discovered on the desk in his office, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n

He mentioned three people by name whom he viewed as corrupt, prompting authorities to rush to ensure they were safe, and ranted that his ex was the abuser in their relationship, the report added. <\/p>\n

The deranged father was on active probation for threatening to cause bodily harm to his ex-wife and the mother of the two slain boys in 2024, according to court records obtained by the publication.<\/p>\n

During a short trial in February this year, Al-Lami represented himself and rejected the court\u2019s offer to resolve the matter with a one-year peace bond, the outlet reported. <\/p>\n

His ex-wife, who has not been identified, told the courtroom that the couple were married and had two children before divorcing in 2022. <\/p>\n

After that, the dentist stopped sending child support and sent a shocking email in 2024 with a slew of disturbing threats.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will kill everyone around you and your pimp \u2026 in a very wild and savage way. I won\u2019t kill you. I will leave you alone, disabled in a wheelchair that you can\u2019t move, even to visit your loved ones\u2019 graves,\u201d the letter said in part, per the outlet. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll make you an example of the unfair justice system. I will make you a worldwide story,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you do something wrong to me, you pay for it. You pay for it either through the child support or whatever I feel suitable to respond to your actions until I end it the way I like for you and [your] pig,\u201d he wrote, referring to his ex\u2019s current partner.<\/p>\n

The woman testified that she was \u201castonished\u201d by her ex-husband\u2019s vile words, and had simply been asking him for the child support.<\/p>\n

She said during cross-examination that she decided to come forward about the threatening email out of concern for her children and at her current partner\u2019s request. <\/p>\n

\u201cI just felt, what if he literally, this happened? And then who\u2019s going to be there for my kids if anything happened to me?\u201d the mother said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just don\u2019t know what can happen. I just didn\u2019t want to live with the unpredictability,\u201d she testified, adding she hadn\u2019t taken his previous threats seriously.<\/p>\n

Al-Lami told the judge he \u201cdidn\u2019t have anything to say\u201d to the allegations. A judge later ordered him to serve 12 months of probation, denying the Crown\u2019s requests for treatment programming and a DNA order. <\/p>\n

Police said in a statement that they are continuing to investigate the murder-suicide and will release more information once more \u201cforensic examinations\u201d are completed. <\/p>\n

Authorities will not release the names of the children out of respect for their mother, whom they are \u201csupporting\u201d at this time. <\/p>\n
